4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

i stay here after i went to Phuket Thailand, after i got the traditional taste, here i got a modern touch, i satay for a day, the room is great and the greeting is good as well, near to the downtown, you can reach anywhere by MRT, just go to the central clarke and you get what you want

Room Tip: Standard room is okay

Hi, i travel multiple times to Singapore and have stayed in many hotels. this is the worst.
Firstly, I asked for a quiet room as I work long hours, have business conference calls and work from the hotel room. what i got was a room with an adjoining door and a loud occupant who thought it would be fun to knock on the adjoining door after midnight when i was asleep. They watched tv on full volume the rest of the time. Complaining for me no empathy from the staff. They told me I got this room because I arrived earlier than checkin time - I am struggling with the logic.
Next, the internet was out for 2 hours on the day I arrived when I had important emails to write and I had to use my phone. I got an unhappy operator when I called to ask what was going on with the internet.

Then there were the small things like the fact that the food is not great. Singapore has some of the best food ever, so I surprised by the bland laksa, with overcooked seafood. The good thing is there's small Japanese restaurant next door and a seven eleven for food.

It was not a happy stay. Never again.

Room Tip: Go to Swisshotel Merchant Court - I stayed with them last time but because it was 20 dollars more ex...

Dear tt12tt,

Thank you for the opportunity you have given us to accommodate you during your most recent trip to Singapore. While we appreciate the time you have taken to review your visit, I am terribly sorry to hear about the unfortunate circumstances of your stay.

From your comments, it seems that you were provided with an early check-in for your first stay with us. However, given that most of our rooms are vacated by our previous guests at noon, the room allocated to you could possibly have been the only Superior Room available for occupancy upon your arrival while the rest were either still occupied or were still being made up. It is truly regrettable that the noise from the room next to yours caused for a disruptive stay for you. While our inter-connecting rooms are normally reserved for families who book two rooms for their stay, please rest assured that we will look into your comments and find a way to improve the soundproofing in our connecting rooms.

It is very unfortunate that the day of your arrival coincided with the only time we unexpectedly had issues with our Internet connection for a long period of time. However, I am most concerned about your comments regarding the service you received from some of our team members. It certainly does not represent the quality of service we strive for at our hotel and I wish to assure you that the team members concerned have been reminded of the importance of being considerate, professional and proactive when handling guests’ concerns and requests.

Once again, kindly accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience you were caused during your stay. Although you have said otherwise, it is our sincere hope that you can give us another opportunity to regain your confidence in our hotel. I am truly positive that you will notice the improvement then. Kindly feel free to contact me through H5993-GM3@accor.com for your next visit and I will personally ensure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

With Best Regards,
Kevin Bossino

I've stayed here on business before, but this stay was a 1 night stopover on holiday. Location excellent, the attached shopping centre has a few excellent Japanese restaurants in the basement ( all reasonably priced). The rooms at the hotel are large and clean, although we were in one of the older rooms this time around.

When we checked in at 12pm, we were told our room was ready, and then just before the receptionist was giving us a key, the shift supervisor interrupted and told us that check in wasn't until 2pm, so then we weren't allowed the key until 2pm. This seems rather heavy handed with the check in policy, and the hotel will endear itself to travellers more if they are more flexible with this ( or at least have all their staff following the same policy).

Wifi is not available for free in the hotel rooms - again - this is incredibly annoying. The Ibis ( part of Accor) did give us free wifi throughout the hotel, including in the room, and for that reason, we will stay at the Ibis again next time rather than the Novotel. Also, the Ibis staff let you checkin if the room is ready

Arrived here on two night stopover on the way to Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was handy to Clarke Quay and transport. We had a late check out and we were able to use the showers in the pool area before heading to the airport. Very comfortable rooms and good restaurant.

We stayed in the Clarke quay novotel on the way out to Phuket for our wedding. The hotel is very basic but the service is incredible.

We got upgraded due to our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. The staff could not do enough for us, we would really recommend the hotel.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Service was prompt and of excellent quality. The room was spacious and clean and although we had trouble with the TV it was minutes and someone was there to fix it. Would recommend the Novetel Clarke Quay to anyone.
