Very good hotel and lovely services. Location of the hotel is perfect. It is easy to get to from the airport and main city attractions. Room is medium size but bed is comfortable. This is what you need when on city tour. However, the price seems to be a little expensive but it is warth for the price.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The service rendered is also top-notch, both at the reception and at Basilico, where we had breakfast.

Besides a few minor signs of aging at this hotel, it's still as clean and comfortable as the days I used to visit it when it was the Intercontinental Hotel years ago. The staff are friendly, courteous, and professional and always make you feel welcome. The pool was a little small for a 5 star hotel, but there wasn't much sun during my stay anyway. The gym is well equipped and you can get a basic yet decent work out there.

I only managed to try one of the hotel's restaurants, the Tenshin Tempura Japanese restaurant. The food was good...not great...but honestly a bit overpriced as I spent $100 on my dinner there, and I was still hungry after. Good thing there's a really nice bakery downstairs at the lobby level, and a food court at the mall just next door....easily accessible by a side door and just across the walkway.

I agree with other reviewers about not getting complimentary internet as most other hotels I've stayed at have it for free. But then again, S$15 for the day is not so bad really. Just one important note however. If you decide to log on to your phone as well as your laptop, this is considered separate payments even though it's on the same room account. The hotel should make this clear to their guests or else you end up paying double.....or more.... depending on the number of devices you've logged on to the same account. I explained this to the front desk and told them that I only logged on to my phone for only a few seconds and then switched to my laptop for regular use, and they happily removed the second charge from my bill on check out.

The only other small inconvenience about this hotel is the location. The closest MRT is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Orchard Rd. Station. I guess I've been spoiled by having stayed at other hotels where the MRT station was literally at my doorstep.

Otherwise, this is an excellent hotel. Close enough to Orchard Road, but not right in the hustle and bustle, quiet yet convenient enough to shopping and restaurants everywhere. I really needed peace and quiet to catch up on some sleep, and I slept like a baby at this hotel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stylish hotel close to Orchard road , good for shopaholics. Beautiful foyer with Orchids and attentive staff. No free internet although that may vary with price paid for room. In a hotel of this quality and price it should be standard, Ibis offer it it many parts of Europe and they are a budget hotel chain!
Great pool and surrounds to relax in quiet as we had no noisy children/families in this style of hotel.

Our stay at the Regent was really enjoyable. It's within an easy walk of Orchard Road and public transport. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. The l'Occitane bathroom products were a nice touch.

Had a great 3 days with wife and 2 children in this Four Seasons operated hotel. We had a suite room which was actually two really nice adjoining single rooms. We atcually had most our evening meals in the hotel for convenience (we were sightseeing all day) and the evening buffet in the restaurant was really great. Very comfortable and professional hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with The Regent and Singapore as a whole.

The hotel is situated within walking distance to Orchard Road and the train station over there. The public transport system in Singapore is very effective so it does not really matter where you stay as trains, taxis, etc will get you close to anything very easily.

We only stayed one night, but will use this hotel again in future as the rooms were very quiet and comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate. Staff are friendly and proud of their country.

Singapore is really an amazing country for someone who hails from the developing world and shows what can be done in a relatively short space in time if your government is effective.
