Nothing bad can be said about the Mandarin Oriental, maybe just the fact that since there are so many rooms it can be a wee walk to find yours!

The rooms are lovely with plenty of space. A divider separates the bed from the corridor and the bathroom is fantastic. Pricey at around $300 but what do you expect in Singapore!

Stayed here for a week in early March. This was a business trip for my wife and I was the tourist.

What I noticed first was the nice scent throughout the hotel. When you want something from the front desk, you are greeted first by a hostess who inquires about your need and then directs you to an open person at the desk. Good hotel setup with nice bars and restaurants, including a Morton's.

The hotel has the rooms on the outside of a large lobby opening which goes straight up. We were on the executive floor but did not go to the lounge. The room was very nice but ours did not have a city view. Which for us is ok. It was well layed out and had the nice touches in the bathroom and throughout.

The most spectacular amenity was the pool, which is on the rooftop and quite large. You can easily do laps. The view of the city from the pool area is fantastic and the day beds and the pool furniture looked quite comfy. The workout area is a nice room but does not have a great variety for weight training. It does have many running and eliptical machines so I can't see there every being a wait for one of those.

Now the location...... it is about 4 blocks from the City Hall subway which can be reached either outdoors or indoors. Actually, with the humidity in Singapore, going indoors is very popular. You can also walk to One Fullerton (Marina Bay) and then further to Boat and Clark Quay's. If you are a runner, you can easily hook up with the river trails from here.

Finally, all the people working here are very friendly and ready to have a nice chat and to ensure they can do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable.

I took my wife to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated as if we were a royal couple. The service at all Mandarin Orientals is fabulous, but the service in Singapore is beyond compare. Every one we met bent over backwards to make our stay the most memorable possible. The property is in a great location and all available services were perfect. My wife thought her massage experience was the best she ever had. Our only complaint was that we had to leave.

Room Tip: If possible get a room overlooking the marina.

Stayed here for several days before heading off on a Clippper ship cruise to Thailand. Had a club room, which meant we could sample all the lovely nibbles etc at lunchtime as well as the champagne and wine in the evening. The pool area is very nice and the staff are great in every respect, not least in the club floor. The hotel is more orientated to a business clientele, which is understandable, but it might seem a little stuffy and boring. It is very large and very well maintained. The rooms - we visited twice - are of a very high quality, and the breakfast was delicious and worth every penny. This is a great place to stay for a short time....but then again, that's Singapore in a nutshell I suppose. Expensive, but very luxurious.

Fantastic hotel with excellent rooms, and a wonderful pool area with amazing service.

I was here for 4 nights and could not fault the hotel at all. The rooms were of a very high standard and the pool and spa were excellent and a wonderful place to relax.

Tea and coffee is served in the lobby early morning if you don't fancy breakfast but if you do then the breakfast buffet has a huge array of choice and of top quality.

Room Tip: Early morning complimentary tea and coffee served in the lobby

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days on the second leg of our Asian honeymoon trip. The building design was not really my cup of tea, but the rooms, food and services were! We had a great corner suite with a small balcony. we had with a fantastic view of Marina Bay Sands which allowed is to see the light show ever night from our balcony or even from the bed. The rooms have floor to celling windows which makes it very bright and airy. The furnishings were nice and modern, we had a room with a sitting area and the TV could be swiveled to face the seating area or the bed. Nice touch! We were given a bottle of wine for our honeymoon and they also prepared us a rose petal bath as a surprise. The bathroom was lovely very spacious and the toiletries were fab. The fitness centre was modern with all new machines; very pleasant to use.
The pool area was gorgeous and it was treat to sit in the pool and look out across the singapore skyline! The services around the pool was great, very attentive staff.

The Melt the World breakfast was extravagant to say the least, it's huge, so much choice. We certainly put on a few pounds during our stay! We celebrated Christmas at the hotel also in Melt and it was really was a spectacular array of food. I would highly recommend the Itallian restaurant too, the carbonara is amazing! THe sushi restaurant was great too!

a real highlight for us was having room service, we were surprised to see a full trolly table being wheeled into our room and two staff members setting up a full fine dining table in our room with bread warmer and everything. It was awesome, we felt very special! Attention to details was evident everywhere.

The location was fine, there is a mall right by the hotel that you can get to and walk through to get to the MRT station. Travel in Singapore is very efficient. We actually enjoyed walking back from Raffels one evening, it took us about 40 minutes and we felt very safe.

Overall i would go back to the Mandarin Oriental Singapore, we had a great stay there!
