I love this hotel! Always something to look forward to after a long flight or a hard day spent 'touristing'. The rooms are extraordinarily comfortable, and the staff are attentive (for the most part, but a blocked/slow draining sink encountered on the first day doesn't really suggest that our 'chambermaid' had been overly attentive), but, hey, that did not spoil our experience on this occasion. The architecture is quite stunning, particularly of the public spaces. But does the room size get progressively smaller the higher you go as the terraces taper in? Why is the internet SO expensive? Unnecessary irritation.

The rooms are extremely well appointed and equipped, otherwise, and the panoramic windows are absolutely stunning.

Despite my one negative comment, this is a luxury hotel that lives up to its description. Love it!

Room Tip: You can overlook the Marina, or the Ocean. We like the Marina.

True luxury with a great view, impeccable service, phenomenal breakfast with perfect coffee, fruit and porridge. Flawlessly clean and sparkling overall.

Arrived at the hotel with my wife by midnight after using their transportation. It was an E class merc with a grumpy driver who constantly complained about our bags. Our check-in proccess was a bit long. Then, we were taken to a room with a carpet that was full of stains. The booklets and printed guides were very over-used and sticky. Room was one of the smallest I've seen. Bathroom was falling apart, for example, the "hot/cold" label in the bath tub fell off after the first use. During our 3 night stay, we were looking forward to our check-out day. I even settled my bill one night before my check out so I can leave as fast as i can. However, i had to wait in the car for more than 45 minutes until the bell boy brought my bags.

We hated this hotel from the moment we checked in until our check-out..

The rooms are large and have excellent views. The staff are all friendly and professional. But the breakfasts are to die for! Massive international cuisine spread covering three buffets. Try a little from all of them. The Aloe vera juice is a nice starter followed by the fresh fruit and yoghurt. The Asian section is worth having a pick through as well.
Just over the road is the open air food market. Select your meal from one or a number of vendors and sit in the open air table area and enjoy! It is very busy and you may have to share tables eating with someone from the other side of the world. But that is also fun.

Room Tip: Go for a Harbour view room or ask for an upgrade.

So, I had a view over Marina bay, I took advantage of the pool, the gym, the breakfasts and Axis bar. Service was genuinely incredible, and the staff were incredibly attentive. The view from my window never stopped being incredibly. Oh, on an evening, take time to have a drink in the Axis bar, and look at another incredible view.
One small tip - consider the executive package which includes internet, breakfast, cocktails and a laudry service. It might sound a little expensive but is worth it... I wish I had bought it.
It was genuinely a pleasure, all the staff were incredible bar-non, and as a location to start your Singapore adventure its perfect.
Finally - if you do go, take the time to share your experience so others benefit, and book at this great hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view over Marina Bay if you can.

We stayed for the weekend for my wife's birthday and I am so happy that we choose to stay at Mandarin Oriental. I now know that it is the best one in Marina Bay area. Everything was just so smooth from the check in to the dinner arrangement. I must also tell you all that their staff are very well trained and nothing seems to much troble. The original room was given was low floor which is nothing really special, but when I asked for the high floor all was handled very professionally and quickly. The view from the tom floor is just amazing. I bet it would be fantastic to stay there when there is a fire work on NYE night. Only problem was surraounding area (shopping mall) was too busy due to the Computer Show and there were thousands of people everywhere and massive traffic jam outside. Well, there is nothing they could do about that one. Next year I might have to book it week early or one week later. We would highyl recomment to anyone who likes being spoilt.

Room Tip: ask for higher floor.............

If you choose a Marina-bay room, the view is just amazing, with floor-to-ceiling windows ....
Food at very, very high level ... Impressive breakfast ...
Pool by itself is state-of-the-art, not speaking about the breathtaking view from there over the bay, financial district and Sandsbay hotel ...
Very styly, and nevertheless very friendly, staff...
Couldn't try the spa but seems on as well top-level ...
5min by foot to Sandsbay, 10min to theater, 15min to Fullerton area ...
Great location, great food, great staff.
A high appraisal ...

Room Tip: Marina/bay view !!!!
