My husband and I have stayed at MO properties in Hong Kong and Hawaii, and choosing to stay at the property in Singapore for one week was a no brainer. We were definitely not disappointed. Our trip was divided between business and family visits/leisure, and the hotel acocmmodated both aspects of our visit beautifully. The staff was friendly, polite, deferential - the Axis Lounge staff greeted us by name after our 2nd visit, and remembered our "regular" nightcap order. When they were unable to get us a table for dim sum in their chinese restaurant, they managed to get us an immediate reservation at a very well renowned restaurant that had already told us they were booked. The few times we were able to spend an hour or 2 at the pool we were delighted with the pool staff and the amenities offered - iced water, iced fruit, international newspapers and magazines. The MO in S'pore became our home away from home and I will definitely be staying there on our next trip - they made us feel like rock stars.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the Mandarin Oriental in early January having booked with C-Trip and it was the best value short stay that we have ever had, we only paid £205 and it was worth twice that.
We had a Seaview room in which was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and it had a great view of the Singapore Flyer and the new complex that is being built.
I would love to know how the guys at the foyer of the hotel managed to know my name every time I met them.
I think the way to judge a good hotel is that if everyone who is staying regardless of how much they pay is treated the same and this hotel does this superbly.
Lastly I wish I could have the breakfast every day as it was exeptional.
Thankyou to all
Paul and Leita

We stayed 3 nights at the Mandarin Oriental in mid January as a stop over on our way home. We arrived from a long flight very early in the morning and were able to check in straight away. We were also upgraded to a Mandarin room. The rooms are a good size, with plasma tvs and very comfortable beds. There is a well equipped desk with a good lighting for the business traveller. The bathroom is large and has lovely ginger and lemon toiletries.

From beginning to end the service level was faultless. Every member of staff greets you and is very pleasant. English language skills were perfect and as a result our needs were effectively dealt with. This is not always the case in hotels in Singapore.

We had buffet breakfast at Melt and did not experience any of the concerns noted regarding queues. However, we did eat towards the end of the breakfast session and it was very busy. Service staff were attentive and removed plates promptly. There is a very extensive range of options for buffet breakfast including egg station, asian selections such as noodles, dumplings and congee, indian food, pancakes and waffles cooked to order, a wide range of yoghurts and fruit and fresh juice bar with smoothies. Beverages on offer extended to lattes and expressos which was much better than the standard percolated coffee. Breakfast is a little expensive so a breakfast inclusive rate would be preferrable.

The hotel is connected to Marina Square shopping centre which links to Suntec and Raffles City which offers plenty of shops, restaurants and other facilities. Turn right at the front entrance and a flight of stairs leads you into the shopping centre. When in Singapore we normally stay close to an MRT station. While it is about a 10 minute walk to the MRT through Marina Square and Raffles City shopping centres it is all airconditioned and we had no problems getting around. Taxis were readily available and are cheap.

The pool area is nice with good views. The pool is not large but functional with 1 metre depth to one side and 2m to the other. Pool staff were prompt with seating and towels and brought chilled bottled water and face towels. There is a well equipped change room with lockers, showers, hair dryers and toiletries. If you have a late check out you can store luggage and use the pool and change room facilities to freshen up before your flight.

One suggestion would be free internet or a terminal to check in for flights.

A very enjoyable stay! We would definately stay at the MO again!

From the moment we stepped in to the stunning lobby of the Mandarin Oriental Singapore we new we had made the right decission to return,
It is about 5 years since we last stayed here and have for the past 3 years we had chosen to stay at the Ritz Carlton next door even though it is looking very tiered and ready for an overhaul,As regular guests of the Oriental Bangkok we had been advised that Mr Paul Jones perviously the manager of the Bangkok hotel had moved to Singapore and had taken up the position as the GM with this in mind we decided to book a 3 night stay.
We stayed on the Club floor in an Harbour view Deluxe room with floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the marina.
We enjoyed fantastic cocktails in the club lounge in the evening and every single detail was perfect,
We will definately be returning to this wonderfully managed hotel.

Stayed for three nights. It's an exceptionally clean and sleek hotel with extremely polite staff and fantastic service. Check in was quick and easy, we were upgraded without even asking, the room was very clean with a large and comfy bed, the view was incredible, the bathroom was pretty plush. Location is fine and the doormen get you a taxi within seconds. All staff members go out of their way to be polite and accommodating and will always wish you a good morning/evening and rush to open doors for you and call lifts. Our early check out was made more bearable by the coffee, tea, juice and yummy biscuits they offered us whilst we waited for our taxi to the airport. The pool is small considering it's a large hotel but it rains so often in Singapore we didn't get a chance to use it anyway! I can't comment on the bars, breakfast etc as we didn't experience them but overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

I am a frequent user of MO hotels and I have stayed here numerous times. I was not totally satisfied this time and will probably change hotels. Our room was nice with a good view. The breakfasts are amazing and the staff at breakfast is great. However, at check-in we were not offered tea as is usual with MO hotels. Also, the hotel staff seemed over-busy with tour groups. As we paid full price, I expect the usual top-rate MO service, which we did not receive. We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant at the Fullerton and the level of service was significantly better than the MO.
