Could not fault this hotel in any way. We had a room on the 44th floor and the view was 'out of this world'. Room was spacious and clean and quiet. Service was excellent in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast variety was exceptional. Would highly recommend this hotel for a luxury stay in Singapore.

This hotel is the tallest we've stayed in. 70 floors in all, we were on the 54th floor city view. Very helpful and friendly staff from check in to departure. Room was very dated - seems like no refurbishment has been done for a very long time. Dated but clean and mostly adequate. Telephones weren't working properly. Only had 1 bedside table on one side, the other had none which was rather inconvenient. We were only there 1 night, and booked in there for the novelty of the height and we weren't disappointed. Go to the bar on the 70th floor - you don't need to buy a drink to take photos or just look at the view (you pay a premium for drinks up there). Probably will not return as there are plenty of hotels in Singapore better than this for the same money. We paid S$265 inclusive of tax for 1 night. Good experience though.

The hotel was well situated - a 15 minute walk from the riverside restaurant areas; above/next to a large shopping centre with an excellent basement food court; across the road from Raffles; and handy for the SIA hop-on tour bus. All the staff were very friendly and helpful Our executive suite was all that one could expect from a large modern hotel, with a spacious seating and desk area by picture windows with a stunning view over the Singapore river. We took full advantage of the executive lounge for inclusive breakfast, afternoon biscuits and small cakes; evening cocktails, and internet access.

Swissotel is a great hotel. The thing I like most about the hotel is their extensive breakfast and their spacious rooms. The bathrooms are also very clean and spacious. Love the gym, spa, swimming pool, everything!! Get a room in the higher floor and you'll be amazed by the Singapore skyline at night. It is the tallest hotel in Singapore.

The hotel is centrally located in the business district areas. Just above the metro station, Cityhall. So it is convenient to move around from the hotels to major attractions in Singapore. Try Equinox, the restaurant on top of the hotel. It serves a gooooood steak. And a glass of red wine while you enjoy the magnificent view from your seat.

But this hotel can be very crowded during check in, especially in the day. Expect long queues, it would be better if the staff can sweep the lines faster. Other than that, I have nothing to argue.

We booked this hotel for a two night stopover in Singapore on return from India. We were travelling with a 5 year old so wanted somewhere with a little luxury, that would hopefully make our stay easy. We arrived off an overnight flight, and the staff were welcoming on arrival. We were informed we could take a 17th floor room, and when we asked if there were any higher, we were told we could wait for a 55th floor room to become available, so we agreed. On completing check-in formalities, it was necessary to remind the staff that we had a late check out (as printed on the reservation voucher), and we were asked for a $200 'amenities' deposit. Having lost a credit card in an ATM outside the Taj Mahal, not having changed money when arriving as we were heading to a fully booked and paid luxury hotel and having one emergency debit card left that I was unsure of the balance of, it would've been nice to have some warning of this requirement for check in. Of course, the hotel would gladly hold on to $200 cash until I checked out...

After this was sorted out, I gently reminded the check in staff about the extra bed we had paid for through our travel agent and was advised to call the concierge to organise it myself. I know I sound like I must be carrying on about the smallest things here, but don't you pay this much so these things are dealt with and your experience is relatively hassle free?

The room was newly refurbished and was fantastic. The view was an outstanding panoramic view of Singapore. However it took two phone calls to the concierge to get a rollaway bed. The luggage that was brought to our room wasn't ours. Again, more small things that you wouldn't expect to happen in this price bracket. They didn't in most of the hotels we stayed in while in India - and they were a fraction of the price.

The complimentary breakfast in Cafe Swiss was quite honestly awful. You are better off heading to one of the food courts in a mall for decent food!

To the hotel's credit, I did advise them of these issues in an online survey that they asked me to complete after our stay and they returned an email apologising and promising they would look in to it. I hope so, because I would really like to stay here again - but only for the view!

The staff were very pleasant and professional especially in the breakfast dining room. We had a harbour view room with a good view. However it did not seem as if it had been refurburished in recent years although the hotel advertises their rooms are refurburished and ours was certainly not like the advertisement pictures. Ask for a refurburshied room when booking or checking in. We had a problem with the plug not staying down in the bathroom sink and this was quickly fixed.
The internet fee in the business center seemed rather high - S$10 for 15 minutes and it was not open after 6.00pm on weekends.
