Fairmont keeps a high standard all over the world, and we booked the hotel expecting a certain level of amenities and service. No doubt the service was impeccable, but the amenities were lacking. The bathroom in our room seemed to be either really old or not maintained we'll enough, as the wear and tear was considerable. Thankfully we were out of the room most of the time, and only went to sleep. Could have gotten a room with a lesser price tag, breakfast inclusive or free Internet!
The value was not there...was it not for the central location, I would have really regretted it!

Location is so convenient. Breakfast is fab - so many choices but then, you can always work out in the gym and pool. Great view from room of the marina bay sands hotel and the fantastic evening light show. Concierge staff where particularly helpful. Would definitely stay hear again.

Location for me was perfect: associated with City Hall Shopping mall, with instant access to MRT (and of course who doesn't admire their clean, efficient, and cheap public transport), close to Raffles for that archetypal Singapore experience.

I stayed 1 night on the Sunday before F1 weekend, and got a great rate for a King room online ("mystery room" booking). I was very happy then to have complimentary upgrade to King suite on 24th Floor, with good view. Given the prices of hotels in Singapore this was fantastic value.

Room was very spacious, two balconies about 8 feet long. Room had chaise lounge, desk, beautifully comfortable king bed. Air con efficient and quiet. Big bathroom, spacious shower (only minor complaint is tehre wasn't a separate detachable wand), and separate bath.

Nespresso machine in room was welcome. I didn't use breakfast or restaurant, or fitness cntre, spa or pool, so can't comment on those aspects.

Was charged for internet, but was advised on departure that joining their President's club allows complimentary internet.

Overall, very impressed. If I can ever get that rate again, this is my choice for hotel in SIngapore. Have stayed at several in SIngapore over the years, and this one seems to deserve its reputation.

I've recently spent a few nights at the Fairmont Hotel in Singapore, having stayed here before. Have to say its like coming home when I arrive at the hotel. We we warmly greeted as soon we I stepped out of the taxi. Walking into the lobby there is the familiar, refreshing aroma that is the Fairmont. We were greeted once inside by the lobby and escorted to the check-in area. We were very fortunate and grateful to receive an upgrade to a suite which provided an amazing view of the marina area and included Executive Club lounge access and privileges. Check-in was seamless and we were welcomed back to the hotel. Our suite was spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The bed is so soft and luxurious and the lounge very comfortable. The bathroom is huge and very well fitted out, with lovely bath products. Having fresh fruit and a Nespresso coffee machine is also a bonus. We enjoyed evening drinks and canapes in the Club lounge and the service was personable and welcoming every time - thank you to Serena and Claire. A special thank you to Raja P and his team who looked after us each morning at breakfast in Prego and to Shaik Shadek for his personal attention and recommendations and for his hospitality. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel for business travellers or for those wishing to holiday. The hotel is well located, about 20 minutes from the airport, close to the marina area, Raffles Hotel is just across the road, there are many dining choices in the Fairmont or Swissotel (next door), easy access to Raffles City shopping centre and City Hall MRT. All the staff are very friendly and you are warmly greeted wherever you go in the hotel and the service is impeccable. This is my hotel of choice every time I'm in Singapore - it ticks all the boxes!

One word I can say for this hotel is Excellent. Location, Room, Amenities, all are very best. The price is also competitive compare with same level class another hotel. Definitely I will stay in this hotel again for my bussines trip in Singapore.

we stayed here for New Years eve in 2011/12.

rooms were nice and spacious with lovely views. the hotel is in a good spot for getting around/shopping, although all in all i'd say its more of a luxury business hotel rather than a romantic spot.

restaurants were relatively expensive but quite tasty (we ate at the fancy chinese one).

One bummer from the whole trip was that the cleaners inadvertently recycled a shopping bag that had a pair of £250 sunglasses in them.. the hotel were not particularly helpful about this and hippo never did file the police report required to make an insurance claim :(

ah well.

be so prepared to be pampered ! being a not very healthy old mom, the pillows are great comfy choices .Room service is great! Staff really work hard,good and very attentive ! I love the North Tower . Very nice location and breakfast is a MUST !

Room Tip: I like the rooms at the North Tower Wing but all the rooms are great!
