“OK hotel but not a 5 star”

Stayed in April 2014 in executive king with fantastic view over the Marina Bay. The room however was in need of redoration as there were spots on furnitures and on the carpet. Had access to the lounge which was OK but no more. Staff was "snobby" and a bit arrogant. When we checked out we were quoted the wrong amount for an upgrade and at breakfast by the pool the staff wanted us to pay for breakfast even if it was included. Not even an apologize for the mistake.
The location of the hotel is however excellent. Another disadvantage was the long check in time.

Room Tip: Ask for redecorated rooms - if there are any.

Should try the renovated rooms. Refreshing! Concierge as always were great. Love the bathroom amenities and coffee & tea! Great location with lots of dining options in the same building. Check out the tapas at Antidote!

A surprise birthday stay was ensured by checkin staff that we got a high floor and a harbor facing room. A simple and nice birthday cake, plus a well wishes card from the staff, greeted us in the room which made the stay even sweeter. Thoughtful.

It was flawless . Everything from staff .facilities .location .cost .views meals.comfort. I felt like royalty. You cannot stay anywhere else in Singapore
Convenient to raffles tourist buses the business district . On top of a mrt train station and raffles mall . You can walk to major attractions also

Although the hotel may be a little tired in some areas it is still a wonderful property. The rooms are a very generous size and well appointed with everything you need.
Location is fantastic, attached to a shopping centre and public transport so you do not need a car.
Prego is the main restaurant and is very busy but was worth the wait however there are many food options near by so I only dined there just once.

This hotel is in a great location.
The rooms are being reworked and refreshed.
Amazing spa and the revamped club lounge too is excellent.
Now they just need to make the swiming pool area look more modern and exciting.

Hvaing just stayed at my favourite hotel in KL, the Shangri La, I was disappointed with the Fairmont. The deluxe rooms are huge and the harbour view rooms have a wonderful view, the beds are excellent and the pillows and linen are great. The huge rain showers in the bathroom is spectacular. However, when I arrived, I endured a cold shower since the hot water was not working prioperly. The engineer who came up promptly organised an other room because this was apparently a problem they have had a numebr of times before (which begs the question why don;t they loom at whether they can fix this problem before a guest arrives). Having gone to the trouble of moving to another room, I found later on that night that a light bulb had blown on the desk which required another call to the front desk and another visit from the bell boy with a ight globe in hand (which begs the question why did they not check whetehr all lights were wqorkign in the room prior to check in?). Breakfast the next day was a huge disappointment. The continental selection looked good from afar but none of the pastries were all that fresh nor did they taste all that good. The asian selections were rudimentary and not of the quality you would expect in other SE Asian five star hotels. The ingredients are there for an ultra preimum 5-star expereince but compared to places like the Shangri La and Mandarin Oreintal, the fairmont is just not up to scratch and it needs a lot of work. The devil is in the details........

Room Tip: Get the harbour view rooms but check all teh fittings to avoid having to call front desk for repairs...

I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed the size of our rooms, complete with wonderful views of the Marina Bay. Our beds, pillows and linen are all specially selected for maximum comfort, and I’m pleased to find out that they were of delight to you!

We have nonetheless noted on your feedback with regards to the water temperatures as well as the faulty table lamp, and would like to extend our most sincere apologies to you for failing to deliver a more comfortable and flawless stay experience. Our engineering team currently conducts regular maintenance checks in our rooms, however, we will most definitely be looking into more thorough reviews during our next round of maintenance.

We regret to also hear about the disappointing breakfast experience you had with us. Indeed, whilst variety of offerings is important, freshness and quality of produce are key for an enjoyable meal to start the day.
