Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. We were made very welcome and made to feel very important. Our room could not have been better and the hotel is very close to everything. We have stayed here 2 years running now and will certainly be coming back again.

Hotel location is convenient - out of the traffic but close to Marina Bay Sands. Rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. Staff is not that friendly but very professional and helpful. Security was efficient and Hotel is very safe.

Room Tip: Deluxe Room - King was great

You will have a major problem trying to think of any hotel that has this combination of history, pedigree, prestige and seemingly permanent coolness. Mandarin is too cheesy, its sister property hotel has a good bar but ambiance is a bit back waterish.

Supreme location in Marina Square. Legendary impeccable service provided by a caring team, very visible management that's always there but never in your face. Despite a proliferation of massive faceless Casinos hotels, soul less retro-dates 'inns' and poorly served independent boutique hotels in Singapore, Pan Pacific at marina Square remains one of the most exclusive places to go to. It's just what Singapore needs.

There's the large forecourt where taxis pull up and sharply dressed attendants unload the baggage while bellboys shuttle the bags swiftly to the suite. the Resident Manager Kurt and his Operations Director Jessica stand just beyond the threshold to offer a gentle welcome.

the lobby is vast and very well considered with plenty of nooks and places for guests as well as visitors plus the odd observer who can settle down or just perch for a while.

Just off the fourth floor there is a discrete exit to an arcade and mall plus a walkway to Marina Bay Mall or if you like, Suntec City to cater to the needs of the international traveler - a place to take the family for a meal, buy gifts for clients and or family a Muji shop and some wonderful food courts serving 'local-fare'.

Before you get to your room you are aware there are at least five excellent restaurants. all top of the trade with their various cuisines ( Indian, Japanese, Cantonese, and whatever's local at the Buffet place where breakfast is served), the long bar and simple cafe on the ground floor are served by charismatic ladies in tight red dresses and gentlemen with slick backed hair who know how to make classic cocktails with flair.

I love their lusciously functional art-deco suites, so Old World ' international style' atmospheric but up to date. The rooms are designed for the purpose of sleeping, washing, soaking working and some fun too, perfectly sized with proper walk in wardrobes, built in luggage benches, and the bathrooms are 'contained' and private vs. those awful glass extensions of the living room and sleeping area that seem so 'fashionable' and unpractical.

Their external and internal glass see through cloud lifts that will move you so swiftly that they make your stomach flip and the panorama of Singapore unfolds around you.

No need to research further, if your tastes are simple and you only need the best -stay at Pan Pacific Marina Square - you will love it.

After a short hiatus away from my favourite hotel in Singapore, the Pan Pacific Singapore, I revisited the property once again this month for a staycation. This is my fifth visit to the Pan Pacific Singapore and I have always stayed in the Harbour Studio which offers 46sqm of living space alongside fantastic views of the harbour from high floors. In my opinion, the Deluxe and Deluxe Balcony rooms are rather unattractive and thus, you should only consider rooms/suites from Panoramic onwards.

There are many reasons why I love this hotel. For sentimental reasons, I remember spending time here with my family (yes, I started staycations at a young age) when I was a lot younger. Also, the Edge restaurant offers excellent buffet breakfast and I am a huge breakfast fan.

The Skyline Suite was 79 sqm (33 sqm more than the Harbour Studio) in size and they are designed with separate living areas. The check-in process took place in the suite itself. An attentive staff member accompanied me to the suite and showed me around before she proceeded with the check-in process. A refundable deposit was taken from my credit card for incidentals as usual.

Being a Platinum GHA member, I was given a late check-out at 2pm and a platinum amenity (a box of chocolate truffles). Although the GHA program does not operate on a points system where you are encouraged to spend more (since these eligible spends accrue points), it is still a fairly decent program that is highly achievable - 10 eligible nights per year. Alongside the box of chocolate truffles, I was also given a card that details the Pacific Club Privileges.

Pacific Club Privileges

Champagne breakfast at Pacific Club or buffet breakfast at Edge, from 6:00am to 10:30am or in-room dining breakfast at your leisure
Afternoon tea from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Sunset cocktails and canapés from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
24-hour club service
Late check-out until 2:00pm
Use of Pacific Club private dining rooms with prior reservation
50% savings on secretarial services at the Pacific Centre
Guests above the age of 12 years old are welcome at Pacific Club

I can't emphasise how important I think it is for hotels to include a simple card like that for all executive level guests. Having a simple card detailing the breakfast and cocktail times will be extremely beneficial for executive guests.

A basic Nespresso Pixie machine can also be found in the minibar area of the suite. Nespresso coffee is probably the best instant coffee you can get (keeping the ease of usage in mind). While I do enjoy my single origin coffees, it is unlikely that you will find something that is as convenient as this. There's also a fully stocked minibar for those of you who are on a corporate account or are just simply too tired to get a drink elsewhere.

The living area allows you to entertain your guests or friends while maintaining the privacy of your bedroom. There's also an attached power room should they wish to use the restroom. The beige sofa also extends out to be a sofa bed if some of your guests decide to stay over (just remember to inform the front office regarding the number of guests).

The living area has a 37" LCD Smart TV that synchronises wirelessly to your personal mobile devices (via Bluetooth). Holding on to the Bluetooth button located in a panel below the TV will allow you to pair your mobile device with the TV system. Streaming music from Spotify is an absolute breeze. There's also a DVD player with a Bose surround-sound system for those that have not discovered the beauty of downloading movies.

The Skyline Suite that I stayed in, faces the city and was a refreshing change to the usual Singapore harbour view that I get with the Harbour Studio. Those of you familiar to Singapore will be able to recognise the Swissôtel The Stamford, Suntec City and Marina Mandarin amongst many other iconic buildings in the area.

The full length window also continues in the bedroom, offering a wide-ranging view of the surroundings.

The bedroom has a King-sized bed alongside some complimentary water which you can easily replenish by pushing a button on the phone next to the bed. In fact, you can request for turndown service (and water) with the push of the button - without speaking to anyone at all! The bedroom also came with a 37" LCD TV (there are two in this suite) so you can enjoy your favourite television program while you laze in bed.

You can access the walk-in wardrobe from the bedroom which also leads to your bathroom. The walk-in wardrobe can also be accessed by a separate door in case you have wedding guests coming in to change and you would like to maintain the privacy of your room. The wardrobe area is sizeable and definitely allows for a small family to live here on a short-term basis. There's also a table by the side where you're able to get some work done.

The spacious marble bathroom features Hans Grohe fittings, a walk-in rain shower and a big Kaldewei bathtub. For those of you unfamiliar with Kaldewei, it is a company that was founded in Germany in 1918 which focuses on luxury and timeless bathtubs.

Even though the Harbour Studios came with Elemis amenities primarily, the Skyline Suite had a mixture of the former and also superb bath amenities from The White Company - similar to the ones provided in Crowne Plaza Changi Airport.

I chose the Edge restaurant over the Pacific Club's champagne breakfast in the morning because seriously, who's going to stomach champagne in the morning? Besides, I simply cannot resist the variety offered at the Edge restaurant. I know I must have mentioned this a couple of times already but the choice and selection at Edge for breakfast is amazing.

Simple things that other hotels do are done to perfection - crisp hashbrowns and streaky bacon. There's also a multitude of other food offerings that include (but not limited to) at least three dishes each from the following cuisines: Indonesian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Western. There's also a fresh fruit juice counter, an extensive salad and fruits station as well as a range of different cheese and bread that one can choose to enjoy (certainly not me).

For the young at heart, there's also a dessert counter where you can make your own ice-cream. I made mine with strawberry ice cream, toasted almonds, hundreds and thousands as well as some unidentified spherical condiments. Amongst other kinds of desserts (e.g. Waffles), there were also Chinese desserts such as tofu pudding.

My stay at the Skyline Suite was an amazing one and one that I hope to revisit again sometime soon. Like always, my stay at the Pan Pacific was nothing short of perfection. The staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are beautiful and the food is excellent. The Pacific Club lounge will be featured as an addendum to this article sometime in the near future.

We stayed in Pan pacific Singapore and this hotel is really marvellous. The buffet breakfast had so many pure vegetarain dishes and was spread huge in variety. The rooms were excellent. The free wifi was good but the only problem we faced was the wifi was not coming in laptop due to docomo company's issues and that was pathetic..Otherwise the hotel is great and architecture is lovely.

Service was terribly bad despite it having won awards. Went to pacific marketplace, staff were unwilling to serve despite zero guests at the resto. Mainly just acting busy. Concierge couldn't manage the high volume, and were just not friendly enough. As occupancy rate was high, they did not allow early check in or late check out. Our cards got deactivated at 11am sharp the check in time when we tried to take the lift back to hotel room from morning breakfast at 11am!!!

That being said, there was one staff by the name of Abhi which I wanted to recommend. Even though there was a heavy volume at at the check in counter he served the customers patiently and he tried to give us a early check in and upgraded us to a higher level.

All in all, hotel is quite modern but service definitely needs a whole load of brushing up

Dear fattyliver1986

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback with us on TripAdvisor.

We try our best to fulfill the requests from guests with early check-in or late-check-out however with a full hotel, this becomes challenging as we strive to meet the expectations of guests who similarly expect to have their rooms on time. I apologise that we were not able to fulfill your request during your stay.

We have taken note of your feedback regarding the associates and will immediately look into addressing this issue. At Pan Pacific Singapore, we strive to provide positive and memorable experiences for our guests and will continue to conduct the necessary training to achieve this. I am glad however that Abhi was able to assist you during your stay and will certainly convey your kind words to him.

It is not our practise to deactivate our guests' keycards although we have had situations where our guests' keycards were deactivated. In such cases we will turn to our keycard technology provider in order to investigate the cause.

Thank you once again for sharing your feedback with us, we appreciate your time taken to do so.
