“A warm hospitality in Singapore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2013

Hotel staffs are very helpful & friendly. Polite & effective. Room is very clean, corridor is quiet, bed is very comfortable. I have stayed in many 5 stars hotels in Singapore, and definitely will only stay at Naumi Hotel for next trips. I am a hotelier myself, and I can say that the overall product & service of this hotel is outstanding. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Do not get me wrong we stayed there last year a full week and abolute loved it.
I wanted to book the hotel for a layover night again but had to learn it was closed due renovation.
Another hotel was booked (Mandarin Oriental around the corner) when i saw Naumi opened again i cancelled the MO and booked the Naumi at the same rate. Big mistake as i should learn.
Upon arrival there are no more nice cold towels provided, you can not even sit down for checking in. The receptionists were really unfriendly and too cool. We asked for a late checkout (4 pm) because we had a very late flight out, i was told very unfriendly that was only possible when i pay another half night rate, when i mentioned and showed my slh member card i was told again very unfriendly i have to pay a half night rate. Thank you very much, you should really get out of slh and remove the sign at the wall.
They downsized the rooms so much you actually feel like a bird in a cage. The room are now very hip but so small you really feel uncomfortable, smaller than NYC rooms. But in the big picture of raising maximum profit as i had to learn at the front desk it makes sense.
We are both smokers so a room with a patio was booked, no running down in front of the hotel if a cigarette is wanted. You are not allowed to smoke there, nice this is mentioned nowhere so i had a patio i could not use.why would someone need a patio looking at the back wall of a hotel with an outside temp of 33 degrees.
We had to switch clothes two times in the bar bathroom, so far a very luxury experience.
Having stayed in many top hotels around the world and having many high hotel loyalty tiers, i have never had such a bad experience in a 5 star hotel.
Soory Naumi that was nothing, a desaster and management fail totally.
Never again!
Feel free to review my first post about Naumi, you will see this here is not a rant but a critic

Dear Daniel-Gotham City,

Thank you for your time in writing this review. It is with regret to learn of your displeasure and I sincerely apologise on behalf of the team for the experience you had. I am indeed concern with your experience with front desk staff and had looked into this matter with the team. It is unfortunate that we were unable to accord late check-out at 4pm but however the staff had offered late check -out at 2pm instead which was not taken up.

While the rooms are smaller after the renovation, the rooms are of reasonable size comparable to many other hotels. We have also made more efficient use of space and are mindful of not compromising our guest experience.

In view of comfort for all our guests especially non-smoking guests, we have a policy on non-smoking in the hotel but there are designated areas where our guests could have a smoke.

While we may not have made a positive impression for you, we thank you for choosing to stay with us again on our re-opening after our renovation.

Best Regards,

Pros

Service is first class. The staff are young, polite and very keen to do what they can to make your stay relaxing and to assist you.

Room quality is very good. Super comfortable beds, modern appliances like apple tv, large flat screen tv, supplied charge cables for apple devicers etc. Very good shower and toilet. Rooms not overly big but the quality more than makes up for it.

Location seemed good to me but I am not overly familiar with Singapore.

Added Bonus: All drinks, including alcohol in the fridge are free.

Cons

Weights room is completely inadequate but this was not unexpected.

Crappy club sandwich. This should be an easy fix for the hotel.

Would definitely come back to this hotel and think USD250 / night is around the mark. Significantly higher than that I might consider other options.

Room Tip: Don't stay on floor 9, and in particular room 901, you will hear people going up the stairs to t...

Dear ChristopherP133,

Thank you for your time in writing this review. We are glad that you have experienced a first class service with us. At Naumi, we strive to provide the best service possible to all our guests so that they would have a memorable stay with us. Additionally, you would have found our location to be good as we are located in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District and within walking distance to a myriad of shopping centres and heritage area. It was unfortunate though that our club sandwich did not meet your expectations and I have highlighted this to our F&B team to review improving on it.

Looking forward to welcoming you back on your next trip to Singapore.

As someone whose former life involved reviewing luxury hotels, I was thrilled to come across this little gem in Singapore. It is one of the most cleverly designed hotels I've ever stayed in- the ingenious lighting, facilities and modern decor and comforts will keep design enthusiasts entertained for hours. If I could have taken the bed, I would have- loads of pillows, fluffy duvet and 'just right' mattress made this the king of all beds. A stay at this hotel would not be worthwhile without a drink and a swim in the hotel's famous infinity pool. Combine these factors with obliging, smiley service, and you've got one of the best boutique hotel experience's in the world.

Stayed here for four nights in November and now it will become my "go to" Singapore hotel. Friendly efficient helpful staff. Well designed rooms to make best use of space. Excellent wifi throughout hotel included in rate and good breakfast. Nice touches like multi phone chargers in rooms. And to cap it off a great penthouse pool with views for use of guests.

The rooftop infinity pool is idiosyncratic for this little newly renovated boutique hotel. It has a cool design, gives you a smile, and ultimately makes you forget the fact that it is really too small (and perhaps too exposed) to effectively swim in it. Having said that, I enjoyed my stay at Naumi Hotel. Naumi shows how ingenious design can make up for lack of natural advantages, such as no spectacular views (except from the rooftop) and relatively limited space. The elevator subtly changes colors as it moves from floor to floor: color, sound and scent seem to be choreographed to create a warm welcome. No space is wasted in the hotel room: a lantern-like glowing vanity counter stands like a monolithic sculpture in space and fulfills several functions at once: a kitchen counter, a bathroom counter, a bar, mediating between the bathroom and the bedroom, eliminating the need for corridors or doors. A "magic glass" separates the wet rooms from the rest of the hotel room: at a switch the glass turns from translucent to transparent. The minibar (complimentary!) is hidden in a vertical sliding drawer that also contains a nespreso machine, a horizontal drawer under the bed reveals a yoga mat and ironing board. Kudos to White Jacket, the design team behind this architectural gem, who succeeded in creating so much poetry and sensual experiences out of so constraint a starting condition. As for food, breakfast was exceptional, the hotel offers not only fresh fruits, yoghurts, eggs and breads, but also collagen, vitamin, protein drinks and alka seltzers for hangovers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys a well designed hotel concept and room. For myself, perhaps next time, I may rather choose a hotel that offers rooms with a view on Marina Bay or the skyline of Singapore. But, next next time, I wouldn't mind coming back to Naumi.
