“Sleek & Stylish with Good Service in a Great Location”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

Arriving in heavy rain but with staff member leaping into action with a huge umbrella before we get out of the taxi and ensuring we reach the hotel without a drop of rain touching us. What a good start to our stay!

Naumi hotel is a boutique property lurking just behind the Raffles hotel complex so in a great location. It’s stylish and smart and the staff are sharp in dress and even sharper in service. After our courteous welcome we were led to our room and given a quick tutorial on how everything worked – and this was one room that really needed instruction. The ingenious use of space in the compact rooms means the tea/coffee making facilities are cleverly hidden away in a slide out panel and the ironing board is concealed under the bed. The shower cubicle has ‘magic glass’ which at the touch of a button turns opaque.

The room is high tech haven where you can Airplay mirror what’s on your Macbook or iPad onto the Apple TV or play Xbox 360 or Ninetindo. If physical activity is more your thing the hotel has two tiny workout rooms. They may be the smallest workout rooms we’ve seen but we still managed to work up a sweat and build an appetite for the unique breakfast on offer in the lobby restaurant.

The rooms are definitely on the small side so if you need a lot of space or have a lot of luggage then you'd be better off in a suite than in a Habitat room.

Champagne at breakfast may not be all that unusual but protein drinks, vitamin pills and aloe vera juice certainly are; we felt virtuous as we popped the pills before sipping our champagne. The breakfast buffet was small but we loved it and the healthy options it offered.

The most wonderful thing about Naumi is the swimming pool. Oh what a pool! A rooftop infinity pool with views of the Singapore cityscape. We spent a relaxing few hours there after dark, when the poolside becomes a bar. Lounging, sipping and taking in the views was the perfect end to a day in sultry Singapore.

Room Tip: Go for a suite if you can afford it, some have nice outdoor terraces.

We love Naumi, even if it happens to be a little bit annoying at first glance, because it is nice and charming. It was our second stay and the first one after rebuilding / renovation. The new rooms are much smaller than they used to be. We chose “Cemmelia room”, a bit bigger than standard, actually quite comfortable size. Just like during our first stay, we felt annoyed at first only to get to love Naumi after a while.
Why we got annoyed: Naumi is one of these places which are more design than practical. The room is decorated nicely but there was close to nowhere to store our stuff. The bathroom looks smart but is not so easy to use: unpractical tap, doors to the toilet opening in a strange way so that it is always a bit difficult to get in or out, this kind of things. Finally, a collection of bad contemporary hits played way too loud at the poolside. But after a while we forget these details and let Naumi charm us. Three things in particular make it such a lovely place. First, it is the location: in the very centre, next to Raffles, in the middle of the living city with offices, bars, lunch restaurants, shops – I prefer it to the big hotels around Marina Bay where you only find shopping malls, plastic tourist attractions and, well big hotels. Whenever we missed our breakfast (and it happens often), we could just get lunch in one of many places just around the corner. Secondly, the wonderful staff, very nice, friendly and helpful young people. Finally, the pool. Yes, it is small, but it offers some of the best views in town. With a bar open until late in the evening it is a wonderful place in daytime and in the evening. Some evenings we decided to stay in the hotel and eat at the pool instead of going out; food is good, the views magnificent and atmosphere relaxing. It is quite noisy, as on top of normal sounds of a big city there are some big construction works going on just next to the hotel, but it did not bother me, since one should expect some noise in the very centre of Singapore. It is just a part of it.

I would not recommend Naumi to travellers planning to spend there just one night – it is ok, but annoying details would probably overshadow the good sides – but if you stay in Singapore for a few days, Naumi can be a very charming, welcoming and friendly place in the heart of the city.

We had an impromptu staycation at Naumi Hotel last week. The staff, however, turned it into such an all-inclusive experience for us, fit for one that would have needed more than a day's planning. The service was impeccable and personal, and we love that amenities (gym and pool) can be enjoyed throughout the day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on levels with additional privacy sections, those areas are quieter.

Chic hotel with warm staff. Rooms are thoughtfully designed and the bed is comfortable with crisp bed linen. Prime location with restaurants and pubs just around the corner. Seven eleven is only a minute walk away. Price is a little I the high side but worth staying.

Naumi is boutique hotel where provides needs not wants. It's time to look at Boutique hotel not only for leisure travellers but for corporate travellers as well. At the end of the day, we (both corporate and leisure travellers) need the same things. Naumi provided better than others big 5 stars hotels I came across. She (Naumi) gave me BOLSTER to hug...Never found in any other hotels, Thick Pillows...making me feel like sleeping at home, Music I want to listen...from Apple TV...No more listening to ordinary hotels music, Coffee...free Coffee capsules from Nespresso which other hotels still charge for every capsule I took, Stylish rooms with wifi equip...making me feel not wanting to leave my unit, Panoramic view on top floor...time to chill..and see through the scene of Marina Bay and financial district...what else I can ask for...She made me feel of NO MORE Staying at big 5 Stars hotel...but only at Naumi...Luxury Boutique Hotel

Our group of 9 people occupied 5 rooms for three nights.Initial reaction was of little disappointment as the hotel was small, rooms proportionately small. However Jackie's friendly tour to rooms with introduction to various interesting features about things in the room was instant hit. Bed very cosy, bathrooms unconventional, lighting quite good, TV size brilliant, apple channel- a special feature, pull out bar cabinet, automatic curtain - everything made a good combo. Icing on the cake was the infinity pool on roof- top with soothing ambiance showcasing rich skyline of Singapore at night. Chef made our stay worthwhile with his specially cooked Indian varieties on request for breakfast. Location is perfect as reach was easy anywhere. Airna- was a complete package of help. The Indian Manager PJ was too cool. On the whole a great experience :-)

Room Tip: Dont expect a great view out of room windows. May be top floor rooms may show the Singapore skyline.

Location is perfect - just next to the most luxourious Raffles Hotel Singapore, 3 mins walk to Raffles City Shopping Mall and City Hall MRT station. There are lots of nice local/western restaurants around and I even went to massage at local spa shop in 2 mins walk. Like the charming smile of the hotel staff and they are very friendly - they helped me to re-book the return flight to Hong Kong online as airline sales offiice was off and got me taxi to go every where. Recommend to go to the Infinity Pool at the top floor, though it is small but giving a relaxing and pleasant feeling.

Room Tip: Room at higher floor
