I booked this hotel based from the reviews here. My husband and my 3 teenage children went to Singapore for a holiday and we stayed in this hotel. The staff are so hospitable, courteous and kind especially the Filipino staff. At first we do not know that they are Filipinos because my family looks chinese. We overheard them talking in our language in one of the guests but still, i dont introduce myself as a Filipino so that i would know if they are treating the guest fairly...and i am right! They treat each and every guest fairly as i have observed during my stay. Everyone is SPECIAL! The family room is spacious enough for my teenage children. They have a variety of food to choose from in the breakfast buffet. We had a nice time in this hotel and i will surely go back in this hotel whenever me and my family will go to Singapore again.

On transit back to Brisbane and needed a night at this hotel. Booked over internet after seeing such wonderful pictures but was absolutely horrified at the state of the hotel. The foyer was tired and old looking but the rooms were by far the worst I have ever experienced. Walls were dirty, not marked but dirty, the rooms were barely furnished and the airconditioning in my brothers room didn't work in Singapore in August. Breakfast was a total joke and we all booked via there website only to have problems checking in. Also not the best part of town to stay in. I would never recommend this tip to anyone.

We booked this hotel for our stop over en-route back to the UK from Brisbane. It wasn't our preferred choice at the time but all that was available at the time.
We booked a family room which was large enough for three of us. The room was spotless and being on the 16th floor gave us a good view over the city. Room service was excellent but on the pricey side. We spent much time round the pool area, this was fine but there was little shade and the pool side was very slippy when wet.
Breakfast was included with our room rate and this was an experience in itself. By the time I had queued and got my fried eggs, everyone else had eaten their food!
One major plus for us with this hotel was the location. It was handy for just about everything, even 24hour shopping if your that way inclined.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the little shop in the lobby.
One negative thing was the stair case leading up to lobby, not good for some.
Overall we had a pleasurable experience but would most likely stay elsewhere on a repeat visit.

I had stayed in Parkroyal hotel on kitchener road during my trip to Singapore. We selected this hotel based on the excellent reviews it had received.

Its Centrally located in Singapore with easy access to the MRT. The service offered is excellent. The rooms were posh and clean. The room service was very prompt.

Overall an amazing experience and total worth for the money.

Spent a wonderful 4 days here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast great. Bar, relaxing and good choice of bar meals and deals on drinks. Plenty of sun beds round pool.
Located in Little India - Mustafa, market behind and loads of restaurants offering good value for money meals. Metro across the road from the front of the hotel offering quick and efficient travel to city centre.

Just returned from Singapore. Stayed for a week at Parkroyal at Kitchner road. I tell you sirs, this is an excellent place to stay. Prime location in Little India, right opposite the Farrer park MRT station (entry through City square mall). Just behind the hotel is Mustafa mall, a haven for shoppers who don't have their nose in the air (for them there is Orchard street, high end). A word about Mustafa. This place a massive, fixed priced, crowded and very competitive. Compared with several other malls including Sim Lim mall (electronics), one can't beat Mustafa. Few reviewers have criticised Parkroyal for facilities. This place has 18 storeys, 354 rooms, spic-span, swimming pool, spa, well equipped gym, shopping arcade, courteous staff, prompt service, spacious rooms, LCD TV, coffee maker and what else do you need ! I for one give full marks to the place.

We chose Parkroyal on the basis of other reviews here. As mentioned in other reviews it is pretty well across the road from Farrer Park MRT Station. For shoppers it's sandwiched between the incredible Mustapha Centre and a new shopping mall. The new mall has plenty of western and tame eastern food for the unadventurous. For gourmets, and in particular vegetarians, the proximity to Little India is fantastic.
The pool got top marks from our 6 year old (we sampled three hotels on our trip). It's big and deep. The change rooms have lockers unlike some other hotels. The gym has a nice outlook over pool and looks as though it has had a recent freshen up.
The rooms are comfortable enough, but suffer from adjoining doors with poor soundproofing. We asked to move after two nights next door to a man who conducted phone calls at high volume well into the night. The hotel was accommodating in this regard.
