It's not fancy. The ambiance is exactly like how you'd expect a YWCA hotel to look and feel. I was only staying in Singapore for two nights with friends. I didn't need fancy, I just needed a clean, safe, and inexpensive place to sleep. The Fort Canning Lodge was perfect for that!

Stayed here for work in march 2014.

The rooms were really spacious and the beds were big. There was a lot of closet space and they also had a mini ref. going to orchard road would be quite a walk from here but if you enjoy strolling, you wouldn't mind the distance. There was a nearby mall though so you may do last minute shopping there.

I was disappointed about how expensive having wifi access here though. It costs a lot to have one for 24 hours! The lobby didn't have free wifi either :-(

Travelled here only for one night. The rooms are ok considering the cheap price. However, there were only 2 single beds (we wanted a double) and there was mould in the shower. I probably won't be staying here again next time. The staff were friendly and polite.

Hotel was a bit overpriced but most of Singapore accommodation is. Location looks good on a map, but was up a hill and surrounded by big highways, so it was a hilly walk and lots of traffic light crossings to get back from Orchard road. Wifi was expensive, about $9 for 1hour. Good thing is check out is at 12pm. Bed was comfy.
