“You get what you pay for!”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

Stayed here for 4 nights. Is OK for what you pay for. We booked the 10 dorm room but we were lucky enough to stay in the 6 dorm room for the first 3 nights, then we had to move.
I'm pretty sure they don't clean the sheets after people leave, but the guy did change them when we left!
The breakfast is standard. Coffee, tea, cereal drinks & toast.
Only one toilet and shower for everyone. Not sure how it works but never had to wait long for a shower!!
It is clean, has good wifi and is close to public transport (about a 10 minute walk to the subway and right outside a bus station) Good restaurants around as well.

Worst place ever!!!! can t believe the reviews which says it s nice and clean!!!must be cheap but too far expensive for that!! as soon as you pass the door you can smell the mold so you know straight away that the place is fealty!!! the bed dorm is so small you can t even move and you have to share one shower and one toilet between about around 20 people if not more!!its simply disgusting everybody got sick!even the guy at the reception couldn t stop coughing as he spent 24/24 at the reception which smelt of mold and sweat (playing noisy games on the computer 22hrs under 24!!!!!!)you have to take off your shoes and put on slippers that maybe a thousand people have been wearing before you so you got the choice to wear it and caught something or walking bare feet and caught something to as its disgusting everywhere! and yeah be aware that they don t change the sheet even if someone been sleeping 5 nights in the bed ... so if you want to get sick and depressed that s the right place otherwise keep searching!!

I know in your search for a cheap hostel in Singapore, you will come across this place which seems cheap & cheerful.... This is so far from the truth!!!

Bite the bullet and pay for one of the more expensive hostels, it's honestly not worth it, here's why:

- 10 bed dorm is 12 bed
- Dorm is so small
- 3 dorm rooms, 1 toilet!!!
- Over powering smell of mould
- Reception stinks of sweat
- everyone there got sick
- everything is really really dirty
- you shower and feel more dirty
- no natural light

I could go on! Don't do it to yourself, keep searching!

This place us terrible and I've been backpacking for over 3 months! Easily the worst place!!

Very clean and very nice staff and people staying there. You cannot find a cheaper and nicer place. Good breakfast. Wifi is decent. Can use another bathroom. And the upper bunk sags a bit. A pleasant place in the overall. I definitely will come back for the good deal it offers and the staff.

Pros:
- Clean place (9/10)
Although this lodging is a dorm-styled one, it's relatively clean. Mostly because they provide indoor slippers and prohibit you "walk around" shoes. Really helpful for travelers who travel light with only a pair of shoes.

- Quiet (9/10)
It's particularly quiet considering several businesses around the property, may it day or night.

- Cheap (9/10)
Need I say more?

Cons:
- A little hard to find, I walked past this on my first time coming.

Additional comments:
This lodging is perfect for budget travelers. Staff is helpful and friendly, even tough they are not professionals. Some food stalls nearby, but not too many. Take note that several reference direct this property in Serangoon / Kovan, it's best to take MacPherson or Bartley MRT station to reach it.

At time of writing these are pretty much the cheapest dorms you can get in Singapore for 13 S$ a night. The room is a 10 dorm, and breakfast including coffee/tea and biscuits is included in the price, as well is the usage of the computers they have in the common area, and the wifi speed is also decent. Showers and toilet are clean (as everything in Singapore) And the location is decent, being less then 10 minutes walking distance away from 2 metro Stations on the Circle line.

If arriving by metro, get out at the Tai Seng station on the circle line (CC11)

It's cheap and good, go here!

Came across this lodge while browsing for a place to stay in Singapore for a two days visits.
The place is cosy, comfortable and clean.
The staffs are friendly and helpful.
Location is not too bad since public transport in Singapore is not a issue.
Overall i had a good stay.
If you are travelling alone on budget, this is definitely a good choice.
Highly recommended. ^.^
