“Reminded me of the trainspotting bathroom scene”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

Good location, working wifi and aircon, extremly small but that is something to be expected for a 1 star hotel.

Everything else is terrible. The private bathroom was really really dirty and smelly. The public ones found all over the city were much cleaner.
And the toilet seat...brrr.

Ignore the price and go somewhere else, you simply won't be able to return and relax after a full day of visiting when you know you'll be back in that stench.

We arrived in the early evening and passed the hotel twice, it was up a narrow stairway in the heart of Chinatown, It was a perfect location for people who enjoy shopping and Chinese cuisine so full marks for location, the hotel however was sadly in need of some TL C I don't think its had any paint in the last ten years.
We had booked a deluxe bedroom we got a dirty room with shower cubicle in the corner which stank of urine, there was no toilet in the room but two corridors away were communal toilets again in need of a good scrub, after I complained on the last morning the receptionist offered to move us to a deluxe room although no cleaner at least it has en suite facilities, very small and cramped but did include a toilet. The staff were friendly and helpful and in no way responsible for the error. This hotel is only suitable for the least discerning backpackers I would recommend you pay a bit more for a more comfortable hotel

Room Tip: If you book a deluxe room take a picture when you book and insist that is the room you are given.

i was given a room in Level 1 with private bathroom.

It is a motel, not hotel. This is motel which above shoplots. The toilet in the room is the worst. It was modified from squat toilet to a seated plastic toilet. Remember, plastic toilet bowl which they just glue it together. Yes, they just glue it. Best part is, the glue worn off and whenever you sit slightly imbalance, the toilet bowl will de-attach a little. There is a small funny water heater (old version Joven brand). No TV, no free drinking water, no window. The uncle seems impolite and don't really wanted to help when guest ask for help

Stayed for one night and had booked online. Got into room and realized how disgusting it was so tried to get a refund or even part refund so could go somewhere else. Lady said it wasn't aloud, she was nice but we were very disappointed to have to stay here. Left the room ASAP and only used it to sleep for a few hours. Toilet and shower was gross. Would not recommend

This hotel has an awesome location. Chinatown is one of the most interesting parts of Singapore to stay in, and you can easily walk to a lot of other parts of town from here.

There are a lot of really good food options around, including a lot of cheap street style foods. So location is really handy. It is a short walk from the metro, so if you are light on luggage, you can also save a lot by getting the metro from the airport for about SGD $2.30

I booked a single room with attached bathroom. While it did have an attached bathroom which actually was adequate, with a shower and toilet, the room itself was the size of a closet. You had to actually step over the single bed, that was placed in front of the door to the bathroom. There was aircon, which worked ok, but the room was so tiny there was barely any room to put your bags, or open your luggage, so for this reason I moved the next day to another hotel. I'm pretty sure this room was literally a converted storeroom or janitor closet.

I think that the Lulu hotel, which is in the same street, but back towards the main road, is better value. While still a budget, budget style hotel, from what I saw, you will get a better value for the price.

If you need a very cheap room, and a good location, this hotel is ok, but maybe go for a double room so you have room to put your bags some where!

Room Tip: Get a double room if you don't want to sleep in a closet.

I have reserved a room at this hotel and when I reach there, they said the hotel rooms is fully occupied. Never mind. so they direct me to LULU hotel which is two building away from this hotel.
--What a bad first impression..they should have reserved one for me instead directing me to another hotel.

The room have attached shower room, it is very terrible. The pipe is clogged and the water can only flow to the hotel in a very slow paced that caused the floor of the shower room flooded. and the glass door is sucks. can't close properly and it is transparent. Imagine if you are staying with your friends, how uncomfortable is that.

Aircon is not cold, no drinking water provided in the room. Blanket is dirty and seems very old. from white color it turn to brown color.

Floor in the room is dirty and dusty too.

Totally dissappointed with this hotel and would not never ever come back again.

DISASTER and TERRIFIED.
totally not recommended.

On the plus the location was really good and the staff where extremely friendly and helpful. The airconditioner works well. Otherwise this hotel is outdated, a bit dirty and you have to share a toilet. It is ok if you are a backpacker.... Just spend the extra 20-30 AUD and stay in a reasonable hotel.

Room Tip: If you do choose to stay here get a room with your own shower, the one that is shared looks a bit na...
