“genuine italian food”
Reviewed 24 August 2013

if you want no frill, simple, but really good genuine italian food... this is the place to go. unlike many overrated italian restaurants throughout south east asia here you can find food that is very very near what you can find in Italy.
it is a family run place, and it shows. as good as at home !
the food is fresh and tasty. we were a large group and therefore had a chance to try and share many dishes, may be 10 or 15. most of them were very good or excellent. among them the parpadelle al ragu and the lamb sausage with lentils.
the owner has great italian wines to recommend.
the service is family style. relaxed and unhurried.
the decor is a bit bland, but you don't come for that.
enjoy the food there !

“Truly Super Tuscan”
Reviewed 18 May 2013

We have been to this restaurant twice in 3 days. Expat friends in Singapore took us on the first night and we loved it so much we had to go one last time before we flew back to HK. The family are so nice; the food fresh and authentic. A nice mix of the informality of Singapore combined with the love both Singaporean's and Italian's have for family dinners as the place was busy with family celebrations

Reviewed 13 May 2013

Homely Italian fare from Milano area of Italy served by this caring Italian family who proudly fly in all their ingredients from Italy & serve the most authentic fare you can ask for, in a relaxed unhurried fashion! Great for families too! A must visit if you value 'Authenticity'!

“Kinda ordinary....and expensive”
Reviewed 2 May 2013

Recently went with my family for dinner there on a public holiday. The initial experience was encouraging as it appears to be an authentically Italian family run place. Service wasn't posh, but we were OK with that. However, out of 6 orders, in an empty restaurant (we were sadly the only table occupied), Mama got one wrong. So poor Beth had to eat her meal alone, after everyone else had finished theirs. The food took a bit of time coming, which was surprising as their were no other customers. The food was nice but rather uninteresting. Price was a bit expensive for a rather ordinary menu.

“Just like being in Italy!”
Reviewed 27 April 2013

My partner and I have recently been to Italy and wanted to enjoy a reminder of our amazing holiday so thought we would try this restaurant.
From the moment we contacted them we weren't disappointed.

This is an authentic family run affair to the extent that Papa doesn't speak English, which we found very charming.
The ambience is a great balance of a nice lively atmosphere while being intimate enough to have a private conversation.
The decor is very simple as you would find in Italy - no unnecessary gimmicks or trends' although that may not suit if you are looking to make an impression with a high-maintenance client.

The service is also like you get in Italy - so much so that when we were quite slow on our first courses due us wanting to to savour the experience and reminisce about our trip, this resulted in little time between courses. A lot of establishments would just shrug and blame it our slow eating, however they instantly offered to create fresh dishes for us!
The menu is very authentic with a good selection of home made pastas, fresh fish and meat.
All 6 dishes we had were delicious and accompanied by a lovely, affordable bottle of wine.
One particular highlight is the Tiramisu which was amazing and the best I have had in Singapore.
In summary, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.
