Amazing new hotel right on the fringe of the CBD but opposite nice park and close to Chinatown and Clarke quay. Rooms are functional and smart although hanging space is poor so don't bring more than one suit....
Pool and gym area is heavenly, with cool day beds in birdcage style gazebos around the pool and pond edges. A spa opened recently which seems good, steam room, showers and toilets all fresh and new so get in quick while you can.
This is my second stay, and the staff are getting better although many who answer the phone can't answer all questions about the facilities, room service and the like, but give it time.
Breakfast is great, and ability to walk everywhere is a plus, especially when my office is a couple of blocks away.

Stayed: April 2013, travelled on business
Thank Andrew N

We stayed for 3-nights in March 2013 in a Superior Room. A bit misleading as this is the basic room - a bit like a caravan with rather pointless sliding screens. In an effort to be modern the hotel has incredibly complicated lighting switches and we never got the hang of the toilet light switch or how to advise to make up the room : whatever switch we pressed switched off when we left the room. Public areas were outstanding, especially the 5th floor with its infinity pool, gym and gardens. Restaurant was excellent and food was amazing, though at a price - breakfast for instance was £20, buffet was £40 per head and a G&T £10. Best of all were the staff : solicitous, smartly dressed and numerous - couldn't do enough for us.They allowed us use of the pool after checkout as our flight wasn't until 2300. We paid £185 per night and that is probably a decent rate, especially given the newness of the hotel (some taxi drivers had never been there!).

Room Tip: All pretty good. location doesn't matter as taxi fares are incredibly cheap and the city doesn...

we stayed at Parkroyal few weeks ago, absolutely breathtaking specially the infinity pool, we had access to the orchid club lounge which is located on the top floor (16th), only thing I noticed is that when you go at the outdoor area the railing is not high enough, considering that the orchid lounge serves unlimited cocktails or any alcoholic drinks at night. They should consider extending the railings for safety reasons.

Visited the hotel and the design is amazing and full of surprises. Love the little design touches like the carpet that resembles grass tufts, and the recycling bins in the rooms.

The staff at the club level is awesome. They will greet you by name and anticipated your needs.

Facilities-wise, love the gym and pool at Level 5. You work out while looking over the city skyline - which is very nice.

Overall a great place!

Room Tip: Pick the eco rooms with their entrances resembling a beach resort

This brand new hotel in 2013 has an environmental, high tech.slant that was exciting to experience. Several floors have garden terraces which make you feel like you are on the ground viewing a beautiful garden. Rooms are spacious , comfortable and public areas are eye catching and Upscale. The staff can not do enough for you. Many of our day trips were suggestions from
Hafiaz. Michael was the perfect host to orient us to the pool/ fitness room and spa area. He immediately made us feel at home in a new city. The buffet breakfast was immense and included in our reservation. The location of the hotel was accessible to two subway stops, Chinatown , the river district, museums and restaurant districts.

Room Tip: The larger room with the tub looking over the city, and the glass walled shower were awesome!

we stayed at this newly opened hotel in late march 2013.

it has the most amazing design features ranging fron the rafted floor and landscape carpet in reception to the vertical gardens that cover the back of the hotel. i thing the general design is to suggest the hotel is hewn from the rock... check out the ceiling.

there is an amazing gym and infnity pool on the 5 floor

security is good with lift access to each floor controlled by your room card.

the rooms are large and extremely well appointed.

the staff were extremely attentive from check in to taxi hailing on leaving.

my only concern is that early one morning there was an announcement to say a fire alarm had gone off in the building and they were investigating. there was no evacuation and no follow up announcement.

other than that... try singapore garden living at its best... it's not cheap but is is different
