Description: Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar is this spacious and welcoming destination where one can feel right at home having a breezy brunch with the family or savouring drinks and late night dinner after work with friends. Taking centre stage is an enormous counter that seats up to 20 inspired by what one might find in a medieval tavern but given a generous contemporary twist with the use of black marble. In a bid to encourage a convivial environment, customers are welcome to share dining space and mingle at this communal table as well as tap their own beers upon ordering. Customers will be beckoned by an intoxicating aroma of daily-baked fresh artisanal breads and pastries as soon as they step in. The hearty Guinness Stout bread is truly a unique beer- infused bread in Singapore. This dark bread carries the beer's distinctive caramel aftertaste while maintaining a sense of lightness in texture. You won't be able to stop at just one slice! The bread's malty flavour also makes it the perfect choice for Nassim Hill's signature Hot Reuben - a veritable crowd-pleaser of emmental cheese that is perfectly melded with corned beef, sauerkraut and onions over the bread. An ideal destination for all day cocktails and evening drinks and revelry, Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar also serves a wide range of quality alcoholic beverages. Besides Guinness, Heineken and Erdinger on draught, guests can also look forward to a range of signature drinks which include: Perrier Jouët Mimosa and Bellini, Wicked Calamansi Sour, Yuzu Breeze, Raspberry Lychee Ice Tea, Dirty Sriracha Bloody Mary and Summer Sangria for groups.

“Such a disappointment”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

Very disappointing from all the comments on Trip Advisor, my expectations were very high. Despite the restaurant being empty (4 tables occupied) service was very poor. I had to wave my hands/ arms around for someone to come for my order, even though 3 stood around the bar talking & laughing. During the entire time no one came to see if I wanted something else, like desert nor clear my plate when I was finished. When my order of BLAT Sandwich came, although it looked nice. The avocado was rotten, not slightly I am talking dark brow, soil colour. And for a BLAT very limited amount of it. Perhaps its better taking it off the menu when they don't have fresh items? Not a place I would recommend even if it is a good neighbourhood place.

“Very good in parts”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

It was difficult to decide between an overall three or four because of the variability in service, but I opted for a four because they try very hard, and when it works it is excellent.
We have been several times and the kids love the waffles and pancakes. The egg white omelette is very good as is the Reuben sandwich. They could drop the Crunchie Veggies sandwich from the menu. I tried it today and was underwhelmed.
Service is excellent if the place is lightly loaded but variable if it is close to full. A main problem seems to be that they are unable to sequence meals so that everyone at a table is served the same time. So one or two items are sometimes forgotten and even worse adult meals are brought out well before the kids. The barista also doubles as the cashier which seems to cause problems in delivery.

“Wonderful brunch place”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

Great food ..... Excellent Reuben sandwich and eggs Benedict , comes with a nice little salad and a small basket of own made bread . Prices are average but I felt the food in terms of taste and portions justified the higher than average prices. Service was efficient and friendly.

“Mac and cheese well worth the wait”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

We had lunch on a Saturday at Nassim Hill Bakery because we were staying at the Traders Hotel and we visited the post office in the same building. We shared a Caesar salad that was fresh and tasty and a macaroni and cheese that was out of this world. After 20 minutes, it was browned on top, and the mixture of cheeses was unusually delicious . We noticed that many people were eating breakfast, and we learned from those at the next table that Nassim Hill Bakery breakfasts were unusually good. We already knew that they provided a great Caesar salad and Mac and cheese, so we returned the next morning for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict with ciabatta bread instead of English muffins. It included a generous salad made up mostly of Romaine lettuce. My wife had French toast made with almond encrusted bread and a delicious maple syrup. We also had a complimentary basket of bread that included slices of the almond bread. The servers are mostly young and enthusiastic people who appear to be very happy to work there. Prices were moderate. The physical facilities are adequate but not fancy. We felt everything was outstanding and reasonably priced, but the dish that remains most deliciously in our minds is the macaroni and cheese. You have to wait 20 minutes for it to be prepared, but the taste is well worth the wait. Based on two visits, we feel that whatever you order, you can't go wrong.

“Delicious sandwiches and coffee”
Reviewed 29 August 2013 via mobile

been for lunch a few times and always had sandwiches and coffee. Both always excellent and good portion sizes. Grilled veg sandwich my favourite. Will continue to go back.

Friendly and efficient service.

Bonus of free parking right next to cafe. Not always easy to get a spot though. Underground parking also available.
