Awesome location, everything is 10 minutes walking away. Brilliant morning breakfast view on the balcony over the Quay. Lovely night view of the Marina Bay Sands light show.

As this is a refurbished old pre-war shoplot, wood creaks on every footsteps. You tend to hear footsteps very close to your bed. Windows fittings are not exactly the best sound proofing either. With the front and back are lines of pub and karaoke joints, do avoid rooms with a window.

Room Tip: Avoid room with windows

I moved to this hostel from another one further out of the downtown area, made a great choice. This place is in a perfect location, walking distance to everything like Clarke Quay, bars, Marina bay, and an MRT station. Worth paying a little extra for this inn.

Rooms were very clean and great AC. Very tiny, but cute. Washroom was a bit far from the room and was a bit hot and muggy.

Staff are amazing. They give advice on where to go and search everything you need. Great security on the building and a very cute kitchen and patio area upstairs. Breakfast is just peanut butter and jam sandwiches but still a nice area to eat.

As a backpacker I reccomend this place, pay the extra bit of money rather than staying in a cheap place further out. MRT closes around 2330 so staying here will let you stay out later and avoid taxi fees.

the location on boat quay is great: the civic and financial quarter are just a few minutes walk away and from the terrace you have a great view on the marina bay sands hotel. on the plus side: overall clean hostel (rooms & bathroom), 24hrs reception, great terrace, wifi, location. only the corridors are quite narrow and the rooms small. And the way from some rooms (especially the ones located on the 2nd floor or near the street) to the female bathroom/toilet is quite a walk. breakfast was ok, but nothing special (milk, cereals and toast + jelly & peanut butter). for the location the hostel has effordable prices, but you can find cheaper ones.

Room Tip: rooms looking at the quay are loud at night but they have windows. our room had no window and thus w...

Stayed here for 3 nights. I wanted a cheap hotel in the city centre. The hotel is surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants, en close to the subway station.
The rooms are very small, but that is the same for most hotels in the city. The showers and toilets are cleaned reguarly.

Good value for money. Ideal for someone who is looking for an affordable place to stay in Singapore.

5footway.inn Project boat Quay was the 1st branch that i visited under the Singapore 5footway.Inn chain, and left an above average impression with the friendly frontdest, , maze like inbuild structure with local art pieces and great balcony view overlooking the Singapore river. After visiting a few of the other out lets , i only recommend the boat quay branch , only if they could have a better management in other outlets as well as having a more welcoming and friendly team at the the other branch, though i know great staff is difficult to find nowadays!

Room Tip: if you are not use to climbing maze like stairs or a light sleeper , you might want to consider brin...

the location is amazing. centrally located with 2 MRT stations less than a 5 minute walk away. we stayed in the standard double room and it was very comfortable although the room was a little smelly when we checked in (probably due to lack of ventilation from having no window). the staff was friendly and helpful. the only problem i had was that the room had zero sound proofing so you can hear everything that's going on in the hallways, and this made it difficult to fall asleep some nights.

pros: great location with restaurants lining the river and a great view from breakfast, decent breakfast with special coffee and cereal in addition to the typical toast, clean room, good wifi, friendly staff

cons: bathroom was decent, but clearly was not cleaned often enough with the amount of guests using it
