“Expensive, unfriendly ad mediocre food and drinks”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We went on a weekday in the evening, hopeful because it is one of a few restaurants in Singapore that serves white asparagus in season.
I don't like the atmosphere of the place: a television broadcasting soccer in the corner, loud music and wooden uncomfortable benches. There was condensation dripping from the airco vents in the ceiling and as a result the benches, tables and your back get wet.

The asparagus were expensive: SGD 25 for 6 stalks of asparagus. Potatoes needed to be ordered separately, and costed another SGD 8. A diet coke was another SGD 8, and for that money you get a glass with one of those powdery coke mixes - not even a can or bottle. The food had hardly any taste and was extremely rich and heavy.

Singapore staff are not known for their friendliness, but the staff that was on that night was extremely unfriendly.

The place seems to be mostly filled with tourists and first timers, and after having been there I don't think that there will ever be a second time for me.

“Great if you like to pay more than £10 for a pint served in a warm glass!”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

Singapore is expensive I know, but this place is unreal. $21.25 for all 0.5L draught beers, only German beer to choose from and always served in a warm glass. It was the only place showing the European final, so needless to say I won't be returning!

“Good food and beer”

This place has a nice menu and a few draft beers to choose from. Nice to find some food options you don't find elsewhere in Singapore. Nice environment and the staff is helpful.

“It got the look but food need more German Grüntlichkeit”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 via mobile

Its such a nice open space on a nice location, modern interior, German traditional food menu, great German Paulaner quality beers, but the food is below expectations, when the German sense of quality arrives in the kitchen it will be the Porsche of Raffle City!
