“Small Museum About RSAF”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2012

Went there in June 2012 with a group of secondary school students. First visit was in Nov. 2010.

Pros :
a) Interesting if you are an air force fan. 30 mins is enough to view all the exhibits. 60 mins. if you go into details.
b) Next to Paya Lebar Air Base with public bus access.
c) Small shop selling souvenirs and model planes. Price is reasonable.
d) Exhibits well maintained.

Cons:
a) Exhibit too few compare with those in developed air forces.
b) Exhibits don't change much. Almost the same every year.
c) Small shop sells only drinks and snack.

There is no incentive for re-visit because the exhibits hardly change. A good way to introduce the RSAF to kids. Not a must see.

“Aeroplanes and kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2011

The place is small with just one small shop and even though there's public transportation, I still think that the most convenient way is to take a cab. The kids will love the outdoor gallery, while the indoor gallery is full of interesting information about Singapore Air Force if you are keen in history. My kids also love playing around with the switches of some of the displays.

If you are in Singapore for an extended period and have some free time, then this place is worth looking at, if not, you can give it a miss.

“If you like Air Force stuff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2005

This is a fairly new facility devoted to the history of the Singapore Air Force. They take a lot of pride in having a self defense capability (against who it's never clear.) They have exhibits of some air defense missles, planes and such on the ground floor. The galleries upstairs have exhibits on the founding and evolution of the service after the British pulled out.

You can reach it by bus.
