“No reason not to stay here again.”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

My wife and I stayed 2 nights as part of a SIA Stopover and selected the Royal at Queens from a small list of hotels on offer based partly on Tripadvisor reviews; we were happy with our selection. It was very good value as it was part of an SIA package. This hotel is very well situated for exploring the wonderful city either on foot or using the MRT. The hotel itself is nothing special, but functions efficiently. The reception area is small and often crowded, however check-in and out were both smooth. The staff were pleasant, professional and organised. The hotel room was clean, a good size and with a very comfortable bed; however the décor is tired and desperately in need of an upgrade. The room was devoid of ornaments and pictures. Given that our desire was to sightsee and minimise the time in our hotel room, the Royal at Queens met our needs. I would stay here again.

Visited Singapore for one week plenty to see and do. Santosa island was lovely Universal studio was great. The Singapore flyer was awsome. Gardens by the bay were best seen at night and the view from the top of the Skypark on the Marina Sands hotel was awsome. Would defernatly recommend Singapore to anyone.

Location of this hotel is excellent - steps from Bras Brash MRT and Raffles City and room quite comfortable BUT how much would a bottle of bleach cost to give the bathroom a good clean to get rid of the mould? Told front desk staff that the bathroom was mouldy. Received more shampoo and soap and I think the walls were wiped over but no attempt appeared to be made to get rid of the blobs of black mould......

We stayed here for the rest of our trip for 2 days. Great location, good value of money. Clean, quiet, the reception staff were invariably most helpful. Free WiFi and free water bottles. Very near the MTR station, Little India and Orchard Rd. Above all, the beds in the hotel is good. I don't forget the cushion of the beds. Loved it!...
We would be happy to stay here again!

Having arrived off a long haul flight we just wanted a meal and bed. Ordered room service at 8.30pm, had to go through the operator who was very efficient as kitchen not answering phone. Rang again at 9.30pm, operator said they were short staffed but would give them a hurry up. At 10pm I went down to the front desk to be given the brush off and the kitchen person said all the food was in the freezer and would not even supply a sandwich or fruit. Sorry not impressed.
Room OK but lots of wee spiders under the glass topped bedside table which we didnt notice until the second day.

The good: Awesome location. Great rooms. Lovely linens. Free wifi. Modern decor. Lots of storage/closet space. Quiet, even though it's a very busy hotel.
The bad: Nothing bad. Overall, a very good experience.
The ugly: the tile in the shower could use a good scrubbing and regrouting. Otherwise the bathroom was gorgeous.

Close to transportation, shopping. Room good clean and comfortable. The only problem was the air conditioner, it was soooooo cold. We actually turned it off, and i still had to sleep with a jumper on. I don't know why they had individual controls in the rooms when they obviously don't work.
