I stayed a few nights in a 4-bed female-only dorm and it was a lovely experience. The staff are friendly, and a couple of people were living there and said they chose it because it was clean and nice but still cheap - a pretty good recommendation!
There is free WiFi and a basic breakfast of toast and hot drinks is available self-serve. For a fee, they also offer clothes washing services and use of their computers.
It's located a bit out of the way of the main centres but public transport is cheap, frequent and easy to use, but I found it nice to walk most days; only took about 15 minutes to walk to Chinatown. Taxis are also cheap-ish for getting back late at night. You get to see how people live outside of the expat-filled city, and it's nice and quiet.
It's not a huge hostel so best to book in advance during busy times.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a cheap but clean and nice small-dorm hostel to stay in and is happy to be a bit away from the centres.
