“What a Surprising Place!”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

If you like the nature and outdoor sports this is your place. It has an outstanding view and so many things to do that only 5 days were not enough. Do rent a car and ride around to the cities nearby. You won't regret!
The Maison is small and cozy. Really well taken care by its owner Alan. He is always around making sure that we were well pleased and had a great time. You can feel his love for this place all around. Gardens blooming, everything clean, and the breakfast all put together by him, so carefully that I feel that he made specially for us. You will need a car to be there, cause is a little far from the city.

Room Tip: The bedroom next to the kitchen can be a bit noisy. The wall are thin so I could actually hear the g...

If you like to live you life healthy and eco-friendly style, this is definitely the best place to stay!
The house and interior is new, very comfortable and stylish.
Great home-made healthy breakfast. Organic foods made by owners of the place or their neighbours.
Separate waste collection. Energy economy.
TV-free zone (though they have one for those who cant live without it).
Kitchen and cooking facilities available for your use.
Just one of the best places we stayed around the world, this perfectly eco conscious place enriched our eco tourism experience in Araucania region.

Wished we could have stayed longer! Everything about this b&b is of astonishingly high quality, very comfortable and the hosts, Alain and Carolina, super nice. They put so much thought and love into this place: wonderful rooms (ours was upstairs with an incredible view of the Villarica volcano), the most comfortable beds ever, spacious very modern bathroom and a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread, fresh fruit and yummy homemade jam, not to forget the organic tea they source locally. Right outside our room there was a very spacious, nicely furnished sitting area, again with great volcano views.
They've even got a guest kitchen which we used twice to cook dinner. They have four kids (not kids-friendly people don't worry ;) - you'll never hear them as their part of the house is seperated from the b&b area) - we met two of them and they were so cute :). It's a kids' paradise really with the huge garden, tree house, swings .... They have a dog, but it's very well behaved and won't come near you. Alain gave us an electric opener for the front gate so we were free to come and go as we pleased. You can take the bus from right outside the gate into town if you don't have a car. It's only a 20min ride more or less. There are some stalls just down the road selling great homemade cheese, cakes, honey etc. Be aware that they have a no TV policy (you won't need one in these gorgeous surroundings though) - and if you want to go for a run, there's a dirt road with only few cars leading to some hot springs just a little further along the main road (away from Pucon, after the bridge and on your righ-hand side).
It was no problem getting an early breakfast and were even offered a ride into town to catch our bus to Chiloé before the local bus was running in Sundays - thanks very much Alain :)!
Would love to come back and very highly recommend this b&b to fellow travellers.

Alain and Carolina are super hosts. We were bugging them with questions long before our trip but they were very patient and calm. The bnb has a stunning view of the Villarica volcano. The hosts encourage eco tourism and produce fresh jams and fruits on the property. The photos don't do justice to the place. The rooms are comfortable, the beds have nice firm mattress and there is a lot of storage space compared to regular hotels and bnbs (Alain and Carolina are seasoned travellers so they know what travellers most need). They organised a really interesting hike for us with a friend of theirs and we had a great time. Their restaurant recommendations were just to our taste. The location is great- it's right on the highway! It's a very good base to explore the region. We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back for longer! Strongly recommended :)

Mason Nomade is a beautiful B&B, a short drive away from Pucón. The hosting family is very nice and they are fluent in English, Spanish and French. We enjoyed the breakfast and hospitality very much and can highly recommend to stay there.

Recently returned to the Pucon area for a couple of days break and had no hesitation in again staying with Alain and Carolina at Maison Nomade. Being outside of Pucon was excellent given the place seemed crazily over-run with other tourists (school holidays).

There were a couple of other family groups there this time but it never felt crowded or noisy, just relaxing. We had the upstairs room, which has a gloriously soft king size bed - highly recommended!

Breakfast was again delicious. Carolina makes a small loaf of bread for each table, which goes very well with the local honey, cheese and home-made jam (we had very yummy rose hip), along with fruit and yoghurt.

Still highly recommended!

Room Tip: Upstairs. Great bed.

We stayed three days in this lovely B&B. We took two bedrooms, all nicely decorated, warm and very new and clean. Very quiet and close to all interesting places around Pucon. The owners, Carolina and Alain, shared their knowledge in what to do around Pucon. They have excellent restaurants close by. I would highly recommend this place.
