Thanks to tripadvisor, we chose this place to stay for 2 nights, when we were on our way from Chile to Argentina via the Paso Cardenale Samore. We loved it so much that we stopped by again for lunch on the way back.
For both lunches and dinners, the restaurant is really astonishingly good, with a range of choices for each course, excellent friendly service and a lovely view. I particularly loved the various slow-cooked options, such as the lamb or duck, but the menu changes every day. Breads were fresh and delicious. Nice wines were available by the glass, as well as by the bottle. The restaurant is open to non-guests and seems to be popular with locals as well as guests.
This was also a relaxing place to stay. There is plenty of space in the rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds and lovely views from the verandah to the lake. Loved the hot-tub in the garden!
Special mention is due to the manager, Javier Rosés Dietz, who did so much to help us enjoy our activities in the area, including taking us on a beautiful boat trip on the lake, discussing our hikes with us each day and even drawing us a mud-map. Both Javier and some of his staff spoke good English.
