After reading the reviews about this hotel we decided to upgrade to an executive room, which was very comfortable. This hotel is good value for money town centre and within walking distance of attractions. I highly recommend walking to Belle Vista which is full of nice restaurants and bars about 20 minute walk from hotel crossing the river.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of anIntrepid trip.It is well located close to Salvador metro, with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The rooms are however extremely small with a half bath located adjacent to and beyond the sink. It is difficult to get in and out of. Additionally the wc is crammed into a space which makes using it difficult to use.

Room Tip: Please ask to see the room before you accept it.

LOCATION: I stayed here for 2 nights as part of an Intrepid tour. Whilst the location was quite pleasant, within walking distance of San Chrystobel, and with nice, quiet picturesque streets in the neighbourhood, it was not exactly central. Nevertheless it was close to the subway and therefore an easy trip to the centre of town, and it's also on the double decker city bus route.

As this was part of the Intrepid tour, I don't know the cost of the hotel. But I would hope that it's cheap, because it is really a very basic hotel, not particularly interesting in any way.The twin share room was small, bed soft and unsupportive, and bathroom was cramped with a combined bath/shower.

There is one lift with a manually closing door. It is so slow that I find myself going up and down the stairs to the 4th floor room. Breakfast was very basic, with sausages, scrambled eggs and some bread/cereal stuff. It was edible but not enticing.

At least there was free wifi.

I haven't stayed anywhere else in Santiago, but can't help thinking there must be nicer places even at a budget price. A more central location, and more modern facilities would be nice. This would not be a hotel of choice for me.

When you walk in the room, you havnt lost the toilet, it's just hidden behind the bathroom door!

The rooms are small, very small, but it's a reasonable hotel for a one night stop over. If you don't speak much spanish, get a phrase book as we found the receiption staff didn't really understand much school girl spanish. They also managed to cancel the bookings, but found rooms when pushed. I wouldn't particularly want to stay again, but needs must.

It's a 10 minute walk to the city centre & five from the park. It'll take 30 minutes to get to the airport by taxi and about 15 to the train station.

Not bad overall for a very short stay

The rooms and bathrooms are really small like people say, but it's clean. The location is fantastic, very close to a subway station (only 5 minutes walk) in a safe and quiet neighborhood, . The staff is very friendly and helpfull and the restaurant is also very good.
