“A strenuous but rewarding journey”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

We stayed very close to the Metropolitan Park during our recent vacation in Santiago. I walked all the way to the top twice and it was a rewarding experience on both occasions. Aside from a solid workout, the views were enchanting from various vantage points and the flora and fauna throughout the Park were truly stunning. Along the way, one could see a steady throng of people of all ages either trekking or riding bicycles to get to the top somewhat resembling a pilgrimage.

It was one of my most rewarding experiences in Santiago.

“It´s essential in Santiago”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

Good view of the city!
You have to tast the Mote con Huesillos, it´s a local food, it´s a cold dessert, especially in summer ;-)
But I also recommend to go to Manquehue Hill (you have to hikking).

A nice hike up the hill to meet thousands of Chileans up for mass, an unbelievable view of the city and a busy place

“Beautiful but not essential”

The "furnicular" is a nice experience. Everything on the top of the hill expensive but the view is beautiful.

“Excellent Views of the City”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We took the funicular to the top. It was a beautiful clear day and the view was amazing. We got great pics of the city. At the top is a huge statue of the Virgin Mary and a place where they have mass. Its beautifully maintained and nice to walk around and see. Great place to spend a beautiful day. The only thing you have to pay for is the funicular, if you choose to take it.
