Everything was great, the quality and service at breakfast being the only thing below excellent. Otherwise 5*. I loved the design throughout, the area is a delight and the reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

We shared a romantic night out in this boutique hotel that can be described as truly unique.
This restored mansion has been completely refurbished and it's decoration is one of a kind. One is transported to it´s days of glory, the atmosphere is something special. Attentive staff and excellent degree of cleanliness. We dined on the next-door restaurant, La Petanque, where in addition to enjoying excellent French bistro food and environment, we received a 20% discount as hotel guests. This is a superior boutique hotel, scoring high in all aspects. No elevator in this 4-story mansion. Did I mention the superb decoration?

Room Tip: Be aware the upper stories rooms require some stairways Carve up some time to spend a quiet moment in the atmospheric coffee room

I wish I had stayed here for my entire stay in Santiago. Unfortunately due to a conference I was staying in the business district..so boring. This gorgeous boutique hotel in the bohemian/arty area of Bella Vista was amazing. A gorgeous renovated mansion from the 1920's in the most lively interesting area of Santiago. Beautiful rooms ..the breakfast area so lovely. The location amazing short walk to fantastic restaurants. One of the staff on our night of arrival actually walked us to the restaurant area pointing out the different restaurants ..what amazing service. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast in the beautiful historical breakfast room fantastic. I would never stay anywhere else if visiting Santiago.

Room Tip: All rooms are unique and delightful

My husband and I stayed at Castillo Rojo for part of our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. Not only is Castillo Rojo a beautiful, comfortable place to stay, but the location is ideal. The hotel is in the Bellavista neighborhood, surrounded by great restaurants and just a block away from the Pablo Neruda Museum. The staff is AMAZING. They are so warm, so friendly, and ridiculously accommodating. My husband and I plan on going back to Santiago, and this is the only place we will ever stay.

This hotel is just wonderful. The staff was so genuine, always happy to help with whatever we need. The second morning we needed breakfast early as we had to leave Santiago and Fernando went out of his way to get breakfast started for us. Speaking of the breakfasts, they get freshly baked croissants and french baguettes from a bakery near by - so fresh they were still warm from the oven! The room was so beautiful and so tastefully done. The entire hotel is elegantly decorated, the beds are so comfortable and the staff gave us incredible restaurant recommendations. The neighborhood is awesome too, so much culture and just a happy vibe to it. Lots of people out and about eating and walking once it got dark. We even got a french liquor tasting one night in the lounge courtesy of Castillo Rojo. We can't wait to come back, and I wouldn't waste my time looking anywhere else for a hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard will be quieter than the street if you are there on a friday or saturday night. Bella Vista is hopping on weekend evenings. But ear plugs always work too!!
