This was a very relaxing and wonderful stay. Marcelo picked us up from the bus station and took us back to the house. When we arrived he gave us a great meal and wine (which is what we needed after a 24 hour bus ride). The breakfasts were very tasty too. Eggs, fruit, fresh juice, coffee, bread - you name it.
The room was wonderful and comfortable. The attached bath was brand new and very nice. There was also an upstairs terrace that we sat out on.
It is a very welcoming and homey bed and breakfast in a very stylish atmosphere.

I stayed with Walter and Marcelo in October 2006. What warm and wonderful hosts! As you can see from the pictures on their website, they have a lovely home filled with art and comfortable yet stylish furnishings. And in a quiet high-end neighborhood surrounded by parks, just a few minutes walk from the new subway and only a few more minutes of walking to the heart of downtown Santiago. Walter is an art dealer with roots in both South America and the U.S., and Marcelo is a well-traveled artist originally from Rapa Nui (Easter Island). They make you feel as if you are part of their family (which includes 3 dogs and, as I was leaving, 2 very cute newborn kittens). On our second night in Santiago, they invited us to join them and Walter's cousin at a down-home cafe/performance space in the foothills of the Andes to see a local folk singer with whom they are friends and down a few delicious pisco sours (Chile's favorite alcoholic beverage). An experience I never would have had staying in a hotel. I highly recommend Bed and Breakfast Santiago if you are making a trip to Chile.
