“an excellent value option in central Santiago”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014

This is not a fancy hotel. In fact, some aspects of it are downright weird - the wild profusion of dried flowers, for example. And the free breakfast is appalling. But the rooms are very large, by Santiago standards, the internet is excellent (also a rarity, even at the 5-stars), it's clean, the staff is lovely, and the location, immediately next to the Bella Artes subway station, is unbeatable. You can always get a taxi outside the door, you can walk to tons of things, you've got room to work if you're there on business. It's suprisingly quiet given the location. No room service, which is a drag if you come back late at night hungry, but at $70, it's fantastic value in an increasingly pricey city. Great cafes a few steps in each direction for good breakfast.

Central. Steps to convenience stores with wine, etc. Good restaurants. Good food. Inexpensive to Cdn $. Minutes to metro ( subway). Walking distance to Plaza de Armas where all the action is. Lots of sites to see. Front desk staff kind & helpful. Free breakfast sustainable. Rooms clean. Bathroom clean. Mattress eh! Safe in closet. Internet costs. Pool on next joined building on roof top & we can use it. Spectacular view ! See photo.

This hotel is conveniently located, just half a block from Bellas Artes subway station. It is in a nice residential area, yet within walking distance to Plaza de Armas and all the tourist sights. I stayed there for 3 different nights and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was continental style and served on the 3rd floor. What makes this hotel special is the super friendly staff who is attentive to the customers' needs. The hotel is small and feels cozy. It doesn’t have a restaurant or a swimming pool, but for $69/night for a single room, it is value for money, definitely a gem in Santiago.

Room Tip: the reception desk is on the 2nd floor, so if you want a quieter room, ask for one on the 3rd floor...

The hotel is on the second and third floors of an office type building half a block from Belles Artes metro station. Booked only a few days before my arrival, I was given a double room instead of the smaller single that I had seen and paid for. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient, in fact all the staff that I meant were friendly and helpful. The room was of a European business like standard: everything worked well, no cracked nor dirty tiles, and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very good too. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, and the breakfast in the third floor dining area (from 06.30 onwards) was large and of good quality. I really enjoyed this downtown hotel.. only a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas.

We stayed in this hotel, recommended to us by a friend who works at the LAN airline, four times during our 5 week trip to Chile and Argentina.
We were always so well looked after, from the front desk to the ladies who maintain the rooms (all from Peru).
Our only improvement suggestion is for better breakfasts...we got tired of ham and cheese sandwiches for breakfast.

My review is mainly how we got to this hotel as it should be known to everyone to be weary of these people...other than that the hotel itself was great, very spacious clean and people at reception were very helpful. Buffet breakfast is quite different to 'buffet' in NZ but was very satisfying.

Last min changes meant we were to land into Santiago de Chile airport without any hotel reservations, since we landed at 1am a booth with 'hotel reservations' on it was closed and decided to wait till next morn to enquire.
While I was about to walk away a man with a taxi i.d around his neck approached me and asked if i needed a taxi...i told him i needed a hotel and he got on his cellphone and spoke to someone who then advised me there is a hotel that is10 mins away (3,000 peso taxi fee) at $70 USD a nite. If I booked now we would only be payin for one nite instead of 2.

So off we went and yes it was a 10 min ride but when we went to pay him 3,000 pesos it turned into 30,000 pesos which is about $100 NZD. We didnt have that money and he became agitated and threatend us. Drove my partner to an atm while i waited in the lobby. When we went to check in, the '$70' room was actually $79 but was sold out. We had to book the only avail room which was the quadruple room at $130 USD and yes we had to pay for 2 nites since we were checkin in at 3am. The receptionist told us he never spoke to anyone and taxi rides from the airport should be between 10,000 - 15,000 pesos.

This dampened our trip and cancelled tours etc and booked the next available flight to go home but our short stay at this hotel made it a little comforting.

After missing our plane in the middle of the night, we went to the hotel booth on first floor of airport and after a short taxi ride arrived at the Ciudad De Vitoria. It is easy to access (elevator to reception on second floor). The room was good size and clean
and nicely furnished. The price is good at $ 79.00 a night double. The location is excellent in center of town and close to Plaza de armas and cathedral.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped us with reservations for return trip.
The breakfast (included in the price) was good.. The owner/manager who speaks
several languages is also supervising the nice little restaurant EL Txoko, just a few
steps from the hotel. I had the best steak dinner at a reasonable price.. I must not forget the pisco sour ...very good...
In all it was a good surprise . We stayed two days before being able to get a plane. and I
would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.
