I had only a few hours of site seeing time in Santiago, and I chose to go here to do my shopping, instead of Parque Arauco, which is a couple of short blocks from my hotel. Why? As an exchange student 22 years ago, I remember coming here and how serene it was, with so many different shops (locales) in one spot. I remembered correctly. So many stores, great tranquil setting, perfect to spend an afternoon shopping. And most of the things for sale are made in Chile (not China). Bonus: take the metro. It takes you practically to the entrance.
