“Do not stay here!”

Although the location was great... the hotel certainly was not.

The rooms were ok and the maids were fantastic at keeping the room clean and presented.

However, the reception staff were awful. They did not smile, they did not acknowledge patrons upon arrival, they did all they could to avoid contact.

There were 3 bags stolen from public areas within the hotel including the lobby and the breakfast room within a few days. The staff did not seemed that fussed about it and honestly pretended they didn't speak english when it happened although they were speaking English upon check in.

To be honest there is something dodgy going on at this hotel.

I would not risk staying there again, backpackers would be better....

Had my bag stolen in the lobby here on check out. My friend had hers taken from under her chair in breakfast. The same day another man had his taken from the lobby also. Watching the security tape we saw a place infested with theives. No security on door regardless of them viewing these tapes. Seriously watch your bags if you stay here!! There are very clever theives!!!

Initially we were impressed with the location and rooms at the hotel but in the week we were staying there were three cases of people having all of their belongings stolen from within the hotel. Staff were badly trained and didn't speak English. Security was practically non-existent which makes the hotel a target for gangs working the area. We were very upset with their response when we complained.

Room Tip: If you can stay somewhere else do it...

Travelling as a group of 14 on a business trip, twice we had bags stolen with passports and laptops from within the breakfast area.
The staff did not care.
Expensive and not safe.
Do not recommend. Unless you enjoy high prices, flooding rooms, arrogant service, poor wifi and a terrible stay.

The rooms at this place are how I imagine rooms at a seminary for monks: spartan. Two tiny beads with threadbare coverings, and of course, lumpy mattresses. One tiny wooden desk with a hard wooden chair. Electric fittings tacked on to the outside of the walls. What blows your mind is that the interior is totally 1930s, whilst the exterior is modern. Must have been a facelift of an old building. The two big windows my room had needed to remain closed all the time, otherwise one could have had a conversation with the people living in the apartment building across the alley next door. So - no view. The window a/c was noisy, and all through my last evening there it was getting dripped on - very loudly - presumably by units in the higher floors.
The bathroom was ok, except for the shower. The tub is built on a little pedestal, placing the very antiquated "phone-type" shower head below my shoulders. So to wash my hair I had to kneel down.
Were I paying, say, $75 per night, all this would be acceptable. At $160 per night definitely not.
Good points: WiFi (they give you a password and you can only connect one of your devices at a time) worked ok, and the location is excellent, right off Apoquindo Avenue and within walking distance to the shiny, new financial center.
Not an option, though, for anything other than an emergency.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the front; the south side opens onto an alley and onto an apartment buildin...

I think this hotel has everything you need if you plan to stay only a few days in Santiago, if you can afford ir, you can do much better and go to Hotel Neruda in Providencia. The "Express" version is much simplier and smaller than the Neruda, but it fulfills its purpose if you only want to get some sleep. It's located in Las Condes, the finest Comuna in Santiago, the service is great, and the breakfast service is good also. It's quite except if you go to the 3rd floor, because next to the hotel is a sports bar that is noisy until 12am.

Room Tip: The highest, the better
