“Incredible architecture with good food”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Just the fact to be there, is very nice. You can be long minutes watching inside the restaurant. Amazing shapes which come from directly from the trees , comfortable chairs and tables. Service and food very good. Try to make reservations with enough time.

“leathery, tasteless, tough meat”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

The picturesque Maipo Valley and the imaginative architecture of this restaurant are enchanting. As you walk in you will see on the left an enormous charcoal grill and a wood-fired oven beyond that. These are seemingly full of wonderful looking steaks and other meats being freshly grilled. Unfortunately, it’s all just appearances. When the meat gets to your table, it’s overcooked, dry, and tough. All I can say is that it’s really disappointing – leathery, tasteless, and so hard you could crack a few teeth on it.

“Great meal”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Enjoyable drive along the Maipo Valley. After spending sometime at San Jose de Maipo stopped at Casa Bosque fir a wonderful meal. Everyone in our group had a different meal and each was enjoyed plus of course a pisco sour. Service by Gianinna Perona was wonderful. She tried so hard to use her English which was very good.

“Eat early if no reservation”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

After 5 years we finally took an early morning drive out the Cajon de Maipo. The restaurant's delightful architecture caught my husband's eye and we decided to try it out for and early (1PM) lunch. We popped in without reservations on a early Sunday afternoon (thankfully before mass let out). By 2PM the place was packed.

The architecture and design surpasses Huilo Huilo in design and quality. We ordered the slow cooked smoked pork ribs, Chilean salad and Bosque Salad. The presentation was lovely. The ribs down right tasty. The service fabulous! The food portions were tremendous. We could not finish a third of our ribs.

I did have a couple of yellow jacket bees (in succession) buzzing next to me at the window. The waiter eliminated the first for me, I decided to live in peace with the second.

My husband may consider this spot for a future corporate event. It has a large separate event dining area that was served by staff arriving from the kitchen in the main building. This building had buffet service capability.

There is a small playground and park like grounds outside for those busy children and others who ate to much and just couldn't get back into the car.

“Don't be fooled by the architecture!”
Reviewed 2 January 2014 via mobile

Ok, granted the architecture and ambience were nice, but the food was NOT good. It was pricey and not good quality. I ordered the lasagna. It was an ooey, gooey mess and not spiced at all. My husband ordered a cut of beef that was over cooked, unseasoned, and mostly all fat and bone. While I was happy to see a children's menu, the price was so expensive that I might as well have ordered an adult entree (although it did include a drink and a fabulous ice cream sundae). The children's food (beef and chicken skewers) was dry, tough, over cooked, and the worst-quality meats you can imagine. The high point was the large and beautifully decorated ice cream sundae. Also, the service was good and friendly. Overall, I would not return.
