Excellent location on the hill above town surrounded by many restaurants and bars. The apartment is well appointed and uniquely designed with a sufficiency of cooking implements. The fridge was amply supplied with eggs, juice, fruit, cereal, milk, coffee and tea. Fresh bread every AM was hung on the door handle. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the town and the region up and down the coast. They recommended Playa Chica and Quitnay down the coast that are real pearls. Would avoid room 4 as it sits over a bar below and the woofers will keep you vibrating until about 12 or 1 in the AM.

Room Tip: Avoid room 4, bar below is noisy.

Although the entrance from the road does not look that promising, once inside you are overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff. Our apartment on the top floor had superb views over Valparaiso on two sides. The bathroom and bedroom were good but the living, dining, kitchen area was amazing. Furnished tastefully, there was plenty of comfortable seating. You took/made breakfast in the apartment: the fridge was stocked with everything you could want and the bread/rolls were hooked on the door handle outside at about 8.30 every morning - perfect!
Juan Carlos and Jorge gave us lots of advice and were always ready to answer questions. The apartment was cleaned when it was felt that we had gone out for a while - amazing!
Lots of lovely little restaurants in the area - would recommend any for a menu del did!!

Located in Cerro Allegre, this is a great choice in Valpo since it's nearby many of the tourist attractions. I stayed two days but would have gladly stayed longer if I could. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations based on my interests. It was also nice to have a kitchen (not that I cooked anything there more than an egg) but just as an option after a few weeks of traveling. They bring fresh local bread in the morning and have the fridge stocked with basics. If I return to Valpo, I will definitely try to stay here again.

Room Tip: I can sleep through anything but some people might find Valpo a little noisy (my room faced the stre...

We loved this place! The apartment was spacious and had beautiful artistic touches throughout--from the wall hanging to the hooks on the wall--very unique. The location, in Cerro Alegre, couldn't have been better--close to local bus service as well as many wonderful restaurants. Although it was a little odd that we had a window in our bathroom opening into the atrium/reception, it made sense architecturally as it provided light as well as air circulation. We felt spoiled by the fresh bread left on our door handle in the morning, as well as fresh fruit and eggs so we could enjoy a relaxed breakfast in the apartment before heading out for the day. And we loved the coffee press!!! But the best part of the place has to be the people who are running it: Jorge, Juan Carlos, Rodrigo--all so positive and helpful--it was a joy to stay there!

Love this place! Very reasonably priced and for what you get, it is a bargain! Once again, people make the place, so thank you to Juan Carlos, Jorge, and Rodrigo. They had answers for every question, arranged cabs/tours/dinner reservations, the room was awesome, breakfast was fresh fruits/hot breads/juice/coffee and we never had to leave our room, centrally located, perfect home base to explore Valparaiso, and very clean. The room/apartment was well furnished with great linens, cool furnishings, and plenty of room. We liked it so much that we cancelled reservations to spend a couple days in the vineyards to stay here a few more days! It was a little hard to find in our rent car, but the streets in Cerros Allegre are confusing even for the locals! Once we got there, we could walk to almost anywhere worth going and you really felt like you were staying on the heart of Valparaiso. Highly recommend the Perro Tours and either Juan Victor or Jorge can open your eyes to the history and beauty of Valpo.

We were fortunate to be in the Bellavista room and doubly fortunate to be there during a full moon. The view is just lovely both day and night, but the full moon made it magical. The front room of this apartment is so spacious and comfortable, it's tempting not to go out at all. But the hotel is situated close to shops and restaurants and other tourist-friendly establishments, so it's easy and fun to walk around the neighborhood - if you don't mind a little hill walking. Juan Carlos and Jorge were both friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful and convenient.

The room/apartment is nicely appointed, comfortable and calming and the hotel is in a good location on Cerro Alegra with funky galleries and varied restaurants nearby, but the best thing about this place is the staff - so helpful! Juan Carlos provided good restaurant recommendations, communication with our hired driver (both in person and by phone since we don't speak Spanish) and generally gave good advice. The other gentleman, whose name I did not get, was equally welcoming and helpful. And every morning there was a bag of fresh rolls hanging on our doorknob to supplement the eggs, yoghurt, etc. that we found in the fridge.

It was a pleasure - would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: For those with limited mobility, note that there is no elevator.
