I will start with the only negative aspect, which has nothing to do with the hotel,
the little square that is next to the hotel, towards the water, should be "adopted" by the hotel, as it seems quite abandoned by the town of Valparaiso, at least some paint on the cement visible from the restaurant would do wonders!
now on to the hotel,
I very much liked the service, quick reacting, and excellent response while reserving.
the rooms ( we were a group) were of course all very different, as it was a remodel and not a purpose built structure for a hotel. Mine was lovely, with an in room tub, plus the bathroom of course. Very good bed.
the magnetic card did lose its ability to open the door quite frequently but I guess it may have had something to do with my other cards or phone, no biggie in any case.
breakfast was great, lots of homemade quiches and delicious cakes. the bread was fantastic, as was a selection of juices. The only niggle? having to pay for eggs, in view of the room rate. Think I had never seen that before in any hotel of this price range. ( or even much cheaper ones).
the common areas are lovely, the terrace is super.
All in all, highly recommended.More
