We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, it was just perfect, we took a promotion for the weekend that included champagne and cheese. The attention is excellent and the ubication is perfect. They have a perfect view from the roof.

We had stayed at this hotel for one night after our cruise ended in Valparaiso. They arranged our pickup from the cruise terminal and our transportation to Santiago the next day. The transportation worked out perfectly and far cheaper than the cruise line. They allowed us to store our bags in a storage room, as we got there long before check in time. It was a wonderful location. The rooftop terrance had stunning views of the harbor and the city on the hills. That afternoon we saw our ship leaving to go back around the Horn the reverse way.

Breakfast was beautifully presented and wonderfully tasty. Our room's windows overlooked the harbor and the side window overlook the city. It truly was a highlight of a trip of a lifetime to stay there. We really appreciate all the help in selecting a restaurant, arranging the transportation, cooking us a wonderful breakfast. We want to go back, one day was not enough.

Hotel is a 100 year old Manor house with 7 well appointed rooms on one of the more popular Cerros or hills. All rooms have access to roof top garden with an amazing views of Valparasio's hills, harbor, and coastline all the way to Vina Del Mar and Renaco. Room 7 where we stayed was a suite with private balcony. Breakfast, adequate and fresh, was beautifully served in the dining room. We also had breakfast on our balcony one morning. It is best enjoyed by adults as there is too much china for children. Pablo and Veronica were great helps to seeing around the city. I was so pleased with all the fine little details that you don't find at a larger hotel.

We stayed for 6 nights at this B&B style hotel. We were in the suite room #7. I would definitely recommend this room because of the extra space, large claw foot tub and view of the harbour with small patio. Attention to detail is evident in all of the finishings and fixtures at the Atkinson; it is well cared for and extremely clean.

The staff were very friendly, especially the owner who was more than happy to suggest local attractions and places to eat. She helped us book a wine tour to the nearby Casablanca Valley and arranged a private transfer. The owner speaks excellent english (she is Canadian born). Not all of the staff were completely bilingual but did try very hard to speak our language. I am personally of the opinion that we are visiting their country so we cannot expect them to speak fluent english, although the owner did say she tries to hire bi or trilingual people. I spent two nights alone at the hotel before my husband joined me and it was very secure as you have to ring the doorbell to be let in. We did have one minor issue with our door handle not locking but they addressed it right away and it was replaced in the same day.

The breakfast was perfect, a good amount of fresh ham and sliced cheese with fruit skewers, buns, crackers, preserves and a sweet treat. Coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. We had our breakfast brought to the room each morning.

The location of this hotel is right on conception hill. Yes, you are at the top of a hill so your legs will feel this! However there is an ascensor very closeby. The hotel Brighton is right beside this hotel, it is another B&B style but seemed to lack the interior character that the Atkinson has. It does however have a large outdoor seating area and well priced food to sit and enjoy a meal.

There is wi-fi internet and a laptop available for use. There is also a stunning rooftop sitting area with 360 degree views of Valparaiso - a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the scenery with a glass of wine.

Although there are other hotels around you are also in a residential neighborhood, so if you open the windows or sit on the patio you can hear some noise and there are a lot of stray dogs in the area. This is not a reflection on the hotel and is in fact an issue throughout Valparaiso.

I do not have anything bad to say about this hotel, we had a wonderful, comfortable experience and would love to return someday.

The house is beautiful. You can tell that the owners enjoy being surrounded by beautiful things. We stayed on room 7, which had a little terrace from where we enjoyed the sunset sipping a glass of wine. It might not be the best value in town, but it was worth it. Walking distance from fine restaurants. We will definitely go back; it is perfect for a romantic escapade.
The place is pretty much like it looks like on their website, we were not dissappointed.

Very nice place and made our trip very memorable. If you have time try to book some of their tours. Our tour guide was Jose and he took us to several vineyards one day and then a city tour the next day. He is nice and informative.
The breakfast was good each morning and the staff friendly.
