This is a nice family-run hostel with great prices, comfortable beds, hot water and a nice terrace. The location is good, staff are helpful and the facilities are well maintained. Highly recommended hostal!

Its a nice hostel!
Its a clean place but the rooms are kind of old. Drinks and fast food are expensive for being and hostel.
At 11:00 pm, they close everything so if you want to go party you should think twice about this place.
The prices for the rooms are just rigth. The hostal is in the downtown so is in the rigth place of quito!

I stayed there for more than 10 days. It was nice, clean and secure. It is a family run business and you get a lot of information about Ecuador. The staff was very helpful. I highly recommend the Guayunga.
The terrace gives you a nice view over quito.

I was looking some quiet place to make some friends and spent a few days in quito and i just got it. Nice prívate room. Decent share bathroom. The food and drinks were kind of expensive. The hostal staff was very friendly also! They close tv place and terraza at 11 so probably its not the best place to have some drinks and party all night long... It was nice for me!

This hostel had nice reviews on Hostelworld, and tripadvisor, so booked this for two nights - private unsuite rooms. For the price I paid $17, there are far better options in the old town area. The room was very basic, was a bit smelly, bathrooms were not very clean either. The only good about the hotel is, its quite close to the old town, and a nice rooftop terrace. The staff was friendly and nice. However, as I said before I think there are far better options in that area for that price

If I hadn't met some new friends from Secret Garden, the much better hostel next door, my stay in Quito would not have been too great. This hostel offers the bare bones of what you need as a backpacker. A hard bed and a decent shower with hot water.
The place wasn't he cleanest and the internet was just okay. Half of the staff was nice and half were rude. Every time I asked the guy from California for help or advice, he would answer bluntly and condescendingly as if I should already know my way around a city I had never been to before.
They are right next to he historical center which is the only plus.

I;ve been to this hostal two times and it;s very nice. The rooms are cleans, there is a fantastatic rooftop were you can cook and enjoy the amazing view. I think the lonelyplanet description is not as good as the hostal really is. I;ts close to an arthesanial market and beatiful church. I defenetly recommed it!
