We chose this resturant after arriving in Quito by trawling Tripadvisor
As our first Taste of Ecuador we cannot give a considered verdict on the food but can recommend the staff - especially the manager - for taking the time to go through the menu with us English speakers

It is the spring and restaurants in Quito are "competing" who makes better Fanesca (typical Ecuadorian 12-beans dish).
I eat three different during my trip but one in Barlovento was by far the best. Service is quick and very professional.
It the great place for fish as well.
Be prepared that the meals in this restaurant will cost you little bit more but the quality and service are outstanding.

Been there for lunch three times already, because I really love their seafood boulabaisse and the garlic shrimp. Price is reasonable, won't break your bank.tried their oyster, sadly it's too small in size. The ambience is quite nice, up in the hill near a round about, overall, it's serve comfort food. Worth a try.

We were in Quito several different times during a three week vacation in Ecuador, and we found ourselves back at this restaurant three times. The service was outstanding. The staff was warm and friendly, and the food was superb. The steamed sea bass was the best I have ever had, and the seafood paella on a separate visit was excellent! Prices are reasonable as well.
