Grand hotel in downtown Quito..Front desk, concierge = outstanding.
Expansive, modern rooms...very clean. All one could ask for in a 5 star
hotel. Fleet of squeaky clean unmarked taxis with courteous drivers. We will be back!

The consierge was excellent and the food at the in-house Argentine restaurant was amazing! I got the 6 ounce beef tenderloin! The front desk was almost always helpful and the breakfasts were excellent for eggs to order, fruit and pastries. The ONLY thing I did not like was the steep price for an airport taxi--it cost $50 each way! And yes, the rooms were very comfortable and clean with a great bed and bathroom!

Room Tip: Get a south-facing room as the sun will be pouring into the north-facing rooms AND you will get a gl...

Stayed at the Marriott from May 2014. After a very late flight arrival, front desk staff was very welcoming & patient as this late hour. Wonderful lobby flower arrangements & helpful staff during our stay re maps, directions, etc... Amazing breakfast selection (worth the price) & great Mexican dinner at the hotel.
Room was spacious & very comfortable. The hotel location was ideal for us to walk around & come back to relax as we had to adjust to the elevation.
Would stay at the Jw Marriott again without hesitation.
So in summary, staff, food, location, room, etc. made a big difference to the start of exploring Ecuador. Congratulations to the staff.

We stayed at the JW before our trip to the Gallapagos and following this when we next went to Sacha Lodge, a eco-lodge in the Amazon interior. The Marriot was comfortable, attentive to our needs, and willing to safely store our excess luggage between visits. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Traditional JW - large open lobby - excellent club level with good breakfast, rooms are comfortable and large, gym is good - though altitude is high. Good location. Restaurants are good. Service is good.

From the picking up service at the airport, the reception, the rooms, the gift shops and the breakfast everything went perfect.

Not only everyone was super nice and always helped with a big smile, but the conditions at the hotel are superb.

The breakfast was clearly one of my favourites, not only the amount of exotic and superb fruits and juices available, the eggs buffet and the local pastries.

We got a car from the hotel for 15£ a hour and made the good use of the only 2 hours we had to see the city, the driver was an amazing tour guide as well and took us to the "Iglesia de la Compania" and the Panecillo.

More than happy to recommend JW Marriot Hotel in Quito for your stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view and specially from the 3rd floor onwards.

This is a wonderful hotel with great service and staff. The flowers everywhere were wonderful and made you forget that you were at 10,000 feet of elevation. The rooms are wonderful with large bathrooms and very comfy beds. The executive lounge (if you have access) is excellent and we ate both breakfast and dinner there most nights as the food was excellent. The lounge also has a patio with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and on our final day we were able to see Cotopaxi off in the distance....the concierge said that was a special treat as usual clouds obscure the view. Also, note that the travel agency in the hotel is the best ever! They set us up on two wonderful private tours and the tour guides were excellent and spoke English. We travelled in the the Old City to see the churches...a must...and then to the Equator...another must! We also took a tour out to Quilotoa which was the highlight of our trip...hint: just remember to take a horse back up those steep dirt slopes. Also, the hotel has a limo service that is very good but make sure you leave plenty of time to get to Quiport....it takes about 90 mins without traffic!

Room Tip: All rooms are nice...the higher the better! What is a few extra feet when you are already at 10,000...
