I had two stays at this hotel in a short period of time. The first one lasted only one night and I had a rather small bedroom, with a King Size bed and a small bathroom, while during the second stay, which lasted 3 days, I had a junior suite, with two separate rooms and a larger bathroom.

Overall, I must say I am very pleased with the hotel, which provides free wifi at mid-high speed, as well as regular cleaning to the rooms. The restaurant is really good, and it offers a selection of local cuisine (good quality also compared to local restaurants), international cuisine, and sushi.

Staff was always helpful and kind, particularly as I turned sick during my stay. Recommended for any kind of stay.

Nice, clean, modern hotel in the downtown area of Quito. A short cab ride from the Old Town Center. Great restaurants around it and lots to see.

Overall, great staff, nice rooms and convenient location.

Hotel is very nice and has beautiful modern lobby. Good location, walking distance to shops and restaurants, safe area. We were in the 9th floor and got excellent view of the city night and day. The room is decent size with modern amenities and clean. Bathroom is small but clean and with toiletries provided. Free W-Fi in the room and all areas with fast connection. Hotel has a bar and restaurant and we had one complimentary drink which is very nice of them. Breakfast is good with lots of choices. Hotel is 30 minutes drive to the Middle of the World (if no traffic). Staff are friendly and helpful. Will stay again in the future.

We spent two nights at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. The rooms are very serviceable, clean, safe and if on the inside, quiet. The service is good, the food adequate but expensive as far as I am concerned. They offer free wi-fi. The rooms are not air conditioned or heated but it seems to work. All in all a good experience.

Room Tip: Try for inside rooms away from the street. The view is not much but the rooms are quiet.

I stayed at the Mercure Alameda for a total of 4 nights before and after my trip to the Galapagos Islands. The hotel is modern, the rooms very clean and spacious, and the location is good. I also felt safe at all times which is important for me. Guests have to use the key card to use the elevator and can only access the floor on which their room is located.
The front desk staff was very friendly and provided great service. I also liked the buffet breakfast which was already available from 4am onwards - a great service. It included fresh fruit, eggs, all kind of cheese and sausages/other meat, and a good selection of bread. Plus some fresh fruit juices. Everything that's needed for a good start into the day.
The only thing that I didn't like so much was that the bed was a bit too hard.

We stayed at the Alameda Mercure both at the beginning and the end of our Gate 1 tour of Ecuador. It is a nice, clean hotel within walking distance of a nice park, several places to eat, and a local handicraft market. It appears to cater to business and group travel, as there were several meeting rooms. We had a different room on the second stay. Both were relatively small but comfortable, although the hotel does not have air conditioning. Our first room had a door into the adjacent room, which might be nice for families traveling together. Unfortunately, it was quite noisy. The guests next door came home late and their loud talking woke us up, perhaps due to the door or perhaps due to poor sound protection between rooms. The included breakfast was OK but nothing exceptional, although there were hot food options. We thought the dining room was overpriced and ate other meals elsewhere. There is free internet, which we enjoyed, including several computers for those without tablets or laptops. Our tour director told us we would each get a free bottle of water each night, but on the second night of our first stay we were told we were only entitled to one bottle per stay, regardless of the number of nights. Since we were told by our guide not to drink the hotel water or even use it to brush our teeth, I thought this was unacceptable. I got the extra water, but had to beg for it. Our flight home was scheduled for around midnight, so we stored our bags at the hotel and spent the last day on the train to Boliche. We returned to the hotel to await our transfer to the airport and were very disappointed to learn that there is no hot water in the lobby bathrooms. We were told we would have to rent a room to get hot water to wash our hands after using the restroom, and my question regarding whether there was hot water for employees in the food preparation area was unanswered. My son, who is a restaurant manager, found this totally unacceptable. Overall the hotel was fine but I certainly wouldn't consider it to be a five star property.

This is a 5star hotel. However I would say that is not:
- breakfast it is too short in variety and diversity;
- during breakfast there's no availability to help you;
- the room, despite its dimensions, there's no signals or commodities of a 5star hotel.

Finaly, considering that we are in Ecuador, this hotel albeit its location ( very good) it is too expensive
