Excellent service at the hotel, Santiago and the other employees were very helpful and made me feel like I was home. The food was good, and they had plenty of information about places to stay and visit in Quito. Of course I would stay here again.

Quito is not the safest, and the street this hotel on feels like most in the city, but the hotel is adorable, and the staff very friendly. They have signs explaining the hot water situation, and we got upgraded on our way out to the suite which has a GREAT view from the balcony. I would go back.

We stayed only one night before our flight to Cuenca. The desk clerk spoke pretty good English and was very helpful. He was happy to call and book our hotel in Cuenca for us. We missed breakfast so can't vouch for that. Highly recommended.

The room was really big for the price, the hotel works with your needs. Really clean rooms, hot shower. Wifi is excellent in the room. I recommend, very helpful and nice. Great hotel that's close enough to the airport. its near a mall with taxi. Can walk to mcdonalds and get a mcfiesta. Breakfast that's included is nice.

We stayed here for two nights. So very helpful and accommodating. Our room, though ever so slightly small, was a lovely representation of authentic Ecuadorian culture and atmosphere. Breakfast was not included, but we chose to have breakfast in the restaurant. It was very tasty, all fresh and reasonable.

I don't have much to add to the other reviews of this property: simple, quiet, extremely friendly and helpful staff with good languages (English and French at least), reasonable meals (we had two breakfasts and one dinner). One reviewer said it was close to old town, which I don't think is correct, but it is certainly close to the Mariscal area, where all the nightlife is, but far enough away that the noise doesn't cause a problem. We would certainly stay there again. We were on our way to the Galápagos, and apparently several frequent Galápagos-bound travelers use this hotel as a way-station in Quito.

We had a really nice stay at the Sierra Madre. We picked the Sierra Madre because we had heard that Quito can be a little sketchy. Though we don't usually worry about those things, we decided to stay in a little nicer place. Everyone at the front desk was really helpful - especially the woman. She arranged us a cab to go to our remote Cotopoxi hotel and they stored our luggage. The room was nice, water had good pressure and was hot. Close to the Plaza Foch and the supermarket. Not so close to the plaza that it is loud - quiet to sleep at night. We had an easy time walking around and felt comfortable coming back at night. You have to get buzzed in. Would recommend.
