The location is very good. In the quite side of Mariscal district (Gringo-city). on the good side clean rooms, receptionists with very good english that were very helpful and friendly. warm water in the shower. fairly reasonable wifi connection, nice buffet breakfast with very smiley waiter
on the disappointing side: the walls haven't been painted for a long time and has lots of humidity and moldy areas with a stuffy odor.

Room Tip: the rooms near the elevator have better wifi signal

This hotel is very nicely decorated (loved the pink exterior!) Room on the third floor was large and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, buffet style. Room was very clean and maid service was nice and prompt. Only negatives were the shower curtain needs a change and the wifi is too weak (had to crack the door to let the signal in even though they have a switch on every floor.) Liked the extra security, especially at night. Overall good place to stay in North Quito.

We stayed recently at either end of a tour to the amazon basin. We stayed in two different rooms, and they were happy to store our luggage during he week we were away. This is a nice hotel, but not top line by any means. It is decked out in French provincial style, ie white woodwork and pastel shades. It  overdoes this theme but it is clean and well kept. The rooms are well sized but not large. The bathrooms (both rooms) lose appeal due to some grime on the tile joints - nothing that a stiff clean with strong cleaner would not fix. Wifi is free but struggles in the rooms, you really have to go into the lounge aea downstairs. AC and TV work well and the beds and linen are comfortable and really good quality. Breakfasts are fulsome with a full range of goodies. Staff are very helpful and we were pleased with the information they helped us with. The hotel is on the edge of the Mariscal area so you have to be watchful when walking at night in this area. There are restaurants nearby nevertheless. Overall a very good hotel that could easily rise to excellent with attention to some details.

It was a good location for the price, within walking distance of Plaza Foch, a kind of night life zone in Quito. Although you have to walk to get to the Trole (Subway like transportation service). The hotel is a little dated, but has all the services in order. The staff tries to help although having to ring to enter is not cool at night. Though is more of a boutique establishment a little off-the beaten track maybe. It is convenient would be my advice.
They should improve a little in sound-proofing some rooms, we were staying in the 1st floor and you could hear the bell ringing from people entering the hotel at night (I'm not such a heavy sleeper though).

Room Tip: Try the higher floors (2nd floor or higher).

Upon arrival to the hotel, we were very disappointed with the area. We thought, that we have booked a hotel in the livable area of Quito. However, it turned out to be more of an industrial area within walking distance to more interesting areas of the city.

Having said that, we were very impressed with the service at the front desk. Extremely helpful, arranging taxi to wait for us after a late night at the cinema etc. We just couldn't have asked for more.

Next morning, had high expectations to the breakfast due to the hotel standard. Nevertheless, this turned out to be a big disappointment. Nothing interesting, not much to choose from, and when we asked for cheese we could only get this upon additional payment (!!).

Altogether, despite an extraordinary service from the personal at the front desk, I would not return to this hotel if returning to Quito. I would instead go for a more interesting location.
