“Great Value and Location very Near Plaza Grande”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

We booked this hotel for our last two days in Ecuador after a strenuous bus trip to Oriente side, and it was all and more than we expected. Beautiful rooms at fair price, excellent service by all staff (love Ruen in the dining room), and help to get to airport very early was superb. Location is simply outstanding.

Free WiFi no problems with connections. Very friendly staff. Work really hard to bring your luggage to your room! Which is a big help since you at over 9,000 ft altitude and can get light headed very easily. Pictures of hotel are exactly what it is. Very close to churches, town square, and a grocery store next door. Extra water and midnight snacks! Hotel has altitude tea in the the lobby along with purified water dispenser and hot water for tea and coffee. Coffee is mostly Nescafé. Free breakfast, both buffet and sit down order of eggs any way you like them. Would stay there again, very safe! No swimming pool or fitness center, but at that altitude who needs the extra exercise. Just walk up the stair ... No elevator!

Practical because situated in the heart of the historical area, this is a very unique and charming "boutique" style hotel with all the comfort you'd expect from a modern chain of hotels. The staff is bilingual, extremely tourist friendly and the service is spot on. They will accommodate check-in at any hour and seem to really care. Highly recommended. Charming little gift boutique that turns out to sell real high quality items.

This hotel was a really great way to start our Ecuadorian adventure. The rooms are full of character and very quirky, but clean, & comfortable with plenty of hot water and good baths and showers. It was easy walking distance to all the old town sights and, although we were careful, we never felt unsafe.

The reception staff are wonderful - endlessly helpful without being in your face. The handle on one of our wheelie suitcases had broken, and we faced 3 weeks of having to carry it everywhere which would have been a real pain. However, a word to one of the lovely young men at reception had it mended and serviceable again in no time at all.

The food was good and plentiful and we were given an upgrade when we returned for a stay before flying home. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: This is an old style colonial hotel and some internal rooms have no windows. This really won't...

We stored excess luggage before both our amazon basin and Galapagos trip Breakfast was great as were the other meals Rooms were large and more than adequately coped with 3 people requiring 3 beds Would highly recommend it
