“Very relaxing after a long flight”

This is a lovely little hotel. Obviously a converted residence, and all the better for it. The dining room is really nice and breakfast was a real pleasure. The staff could not have been more helpful. I nearly gave it 5* but they don't do evening meals. As a B&B it is worth 5* Wi-Fi works best on the (very comfortable) first-floor landing.

This place was great! The hotel is well maintained, clean and cozy. The staff are amazingly helpful, always so kind and warm. Breakfast is basic but good. This place was in a accessible location and while it would have been nice to be closer to good restaurants it was very close to public transit and a short cab ride to major tourist spots. I would definitely recommend this place. I am generally pretty particular about my accommodations and while this place isn't a luxury suite, it was an excellent stay.

Our hotel room was great - had 2 floors and a balcony. Great character. Staff were very helpful. Fantastic breakfast! Clean. Good wi-fi availability. Lots of restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. Other reviews found this hotel very noisy, but we did not experience this.

Stayed here on 3 separate occasions in May 2014. Beautiful looking hotel, inside and out, in a good location in Mariscal. Wonderful staff, always willing to help, particularly given I can't speak one sentence of Spanish! Were happy to keep bags when I was touring the Galapagos Islands and Amazonia. Breakfast was pretty good. Would stay again when visiting Quito.

Room Tip: Get a room in the main hotel building (not the rooms that are accessed outside) if you are worried a...

Beautiful hotel located in a good location in Mariscal, highlighted by excellent customer service. We stayed here our last night in Quito and really had a good experience. The hotel is very unique looking, like a big family house with a lot of different rooms set up in various nooks and crannies on different floors. There were flowers everywhere and the hotel had a rustic cabin feel to it.

We had to get up at 3am the last night we where there, and the front desk made sure our wake up call and taxi pick up were in order. He also went out of his way to make us a small breakfast before our departure. He really went above and beyond my expectations.

There is a lot of nightlife and restaurants nearby the hotel, so if you're looking to have a good fun night after dark, I'd recommend a stay here.

this hotel was nicely located relative to Mariscal district. it has a pleasant style and rustic sort of atmosphere that we liked. the room was a bit small. price okay. food very good. While other reviews complained of noise, we did not find it to be noisy. Our room was up front looking over the street.

I really love the Vieja Cuba....it is well situated - (walking distances to shops and restaurants) but most of all it is charming and pristine and super comfortable. The rooms are lovely amd the views are great. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful - they even got me a Doctor at 4 am! Overall, I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay when visiting Quito.
