I'm in Quito quite a lot and this is the only place that I will stay. The staff is very professional and if you need anything they try to accommodate, whenever i need a taxi they make a call and have one there with in 5 minutes. I've seen almost all the rooms and they all are a little different. The Loft room is pretty cool. They are all clean and the mattress are comfortable. Great WiFi. The location is great, lot's of different places to eat around the area and a 3 minute cab ride to plaza foch and Bungalow 6. Looking forward to going back.

Room Tip: They have a loft room that is pretty cool.

Hotel Vieja Cuba is a nice hotel and many tourist stay there. The front desk staff speaks English and are courteous and helpful. It is located near shops and restaurants. The rooms are small especially # 1, but #6 is larger and has a balcony.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back or choose # 6 for a street view from the balcony

We stayed here with the family, this is a quite unusual hotel with quirky rooms, lots of wood and interesting design features - definitely not the typical hotel. Great breakfast sets you up perfect for the day and staff very helpful. Hotel is conveniently located near Park Carolina and lots of cafes/restaurants though I would be careful walking around here at night.

My boyfriend and I took our first trip to Ecuador and this was our first hotel in Quito. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was a great experience. Great good location, walking distance to Plaza Foch, $4 taxi ride to Old Town. The hotel had a great ambiance with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean with good wireless internet access. The breakfast was really good with a lot of healthy options to choose from. I highly recommend staying here!

Stayed 3 nights altogether in this colonial style hotel. Quirky inside, with lots of little nooks and crannies. Good sized rooms with small but clean bathrooms. Staff friendly. Breakfast OK, cereal, fruit, cheese, ham, eggs and toast. Good location, not far from Botanical gardens and only a $5 taxi ride to the Old Town, Basilica, cable car etc.

We stayed two nights here. The rooms were quite small but we were upgraded to a four-bed room when we asked. Wifi worked fine. The restaurant could not offer much food but the staff were very helpful and we could order take-away pizzas to eat in it the first night. Breakfast was good with a good variety to choose from, served by the receptionist. They even arranged a 4 am breakfast when we had to check-out early. A drawback was that it was quite noisy, the wooden floors between the levels were not sound isolated and the room doors very thin. During our stay people checked in and out in the middle of the night and disrupted my sleep, apparently it is used as an airport transfer hotel.

Room Tip: Although the street was fairly quiet, rooms facing the back should be quieter.

We stayed here before and after our trips so stayed in 3 different rooms. All were very clean and with various combinations of double and single beds, but all with good showers. The staff were really friendly, helpful and cheery. The hotel is close to a supermarket and within walking distance of a good craft market and several bars and restaurants and it is a taxi ride away from the old part of Quito.

Room Tip: Specify that you want a "matrimonial" room if you want a double bed. Ask for the round roo...
