Having been recently restored, the Plaza Grande is beautiful inside, full of wood antiques, high ceilings, huge baths and very comfortable beds. The main floor restaurant, more of a cafeteria, was ok, the food was nothing special which was disappointing. We were also told that the water was potable out of the taps, but recommended not to drink it, then we were charged 4.00 US for each 500ml bottle we needed. For such a luxury hotel, and with questions on the water, this was not appreciated. The staff were very very attentive, and service was excellent.
