We were booked in this hotel by our tour operator. The location is good a, a nice walk into the town centre but its advisable to get a taxi back after dark. Arequipa has 40000 taxis YES 40000 so hail one and watch the rush. The hotel is excellent a little pricey but worth every penny. A nice pool and gardens complete with a pet tortoise. Great food, the breakfast includes a selection of made to order egg options.

I had a nice stay here. The rooms were modern and well appointed, the beds were comfortable..the restaurant was good and they have fantastic peach daiquiris. It was full of american businessmen apparently in the mining industry. The staff was helpful though not everyone spoke great english and there was a huge confusion over getting USD (I was told it was impossible and the hotel could not help me, when in actuality the ATM 10 feet from the front desk dispensed USD's). The jacuzzi was great to have on site, but they dont keep it heated so be sure to ask 30 mins in advance...as a result I didn't use it during my stay.

Be sure to visit the giant tortoise, he's quite sweet...and the alpacas running around are very cool to watch when you're sitting outside at the restaurant. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the Plaza, but no more than 10 mins or so and its pretty much a straight shot and completely safe. I went alone (single female) and was not worried at all. Its actually a bonus to be away from all the pollution and crazy traffic!

Nothing that you could complain about, but nothing spectacular either given it's supposedly 5*.

Bed rooms are nice, nothing special, perhaps a little small and dated. The bathrooms need overhauled - I do not know how anyone "large sized' could use the shower or tub just too small.

Pool area and rooms are what makes me give it less than 5s.

As with all of the other hotels in this chain, never a disappointment. First class treatment and appointments throughout. Wonderful staff from from desk to room service. A nice walkable area in Arequipa.

Low rise hotel in spacious gardens with good rooms. Most rooms are quite spacious a few a bit smaller but still good. Well furnished with good bathrooms. Has a nice large pool with views of "el Misti" but water quite cold set in nice gardens. Very good public roooms and nice bar and restaurant with good food. Part of the Libertador chain so not the cheapest place around but probable worth it. Cheap taxi ride to the Plaza de Armas, you could walk but not recomended specially at night for security reasons. Sometimes has a very good buffet on sundays with lots of locals comming to eat. goos staff and a nice restfull place to stay in this wonderfull spanish style city

Room Tip: try to avoid the rooms just near recption as they overlook the entrance and are near the road outside so noise from people comming and going
