I stayed here on my first night in South America. The staff at reception were very helpful and even helped me make a reverse charge call to my bank. Excellent breakfast, warm comfortable rooms and a great welcome to Arequipa and Peru overall.

The first time we stayed we were lucky enough to be given a really large room (4 beds) with a high, vaulted ceiling. It was at the back, very quiet, dark, and cool; had lots of cupboard space and two desks. The second time we stayed in a room right at the front, near the gate - not as large, but still comfortable, and quiet. El Patio is set back from the main road, so is generally quiet even though it has a central location, and it's secure, you have to buzz to be let in and out of the gate. Rooms are cleaned and fresh towels provided daily. Breakfast is good, served in the little interior courtyard. WiFi is speedy and works in the rooms. Best of all, the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. We were able to have a late check-out, at a very reasonable price. Couldn't fault it.

Great location, clean rooms, hot showers, really friendly staff, everything you could want. Nothing was too much trouble they would make us hot water for a cup of tea, fresh towels every day. Very secure.

Room Tip: out the back and away from reception is the best

Stayed here with a friend and we have nothing we could complain about. Clean room, comfy beds, hot shower, good location. It felt very safe and we could leave our valuables in the safe at reception. Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, toast, ham, cheese, yogurt, juice and hot drink.
Shout out to Jose who works reception who was wonderfully helpful and just a lovely person. Hope El Patio de Elisa realises what a valuable member of staff they have.

Great inn, very clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, walls of exposed volcano rock. It's located on Parral street, only 7 min walk from Plaza de Armas (quiet neighbourhood with more than 50+ glasses shops) I stayed here for 9 days in January. Very friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly good coffee for breakfast :)
If you book it online use hotelbookers, it's even cheaper than booking it in person.

I must admit, I was not excited about staying in a "hostal". El Patio de Elisa changed my mind from the moment I arrived for 8 night stay. I felt very much at home and the staff there was outstanding. Clean, friendly, accommodating, excellence, wonderful, charming, warm, and friendly can all be used to describe my new home away from home if I am ever in AQP again.
