Most hostels that I stayed at were fine places to sleep, but you really didn't want to hang around there during the day. The Casa de Avila on the other hand was a place where you could easily relax all day. The courtyard is a beautiful place to catch some rays while taking advantage of the free WiFi and enjoying the aromas coming from the cooking school. The staff were also great, getting me into my room at 7 AM after arriving on the night bus from Arequipa.
