Nicest host ever. Very calm, beautiful & spacious rooms in a chilled-out neighbourhood. After 6 weeks on the road we extended our stay by two more days to just enjoy this beautiful place and relax a bit!

Great breakfast, roof-top terrace and expert advice from Ana.

Ps: thx for letting us shower after returning from colca although we didnt have a room (JJ) :-)

We just stayed with Ana at her cool place in Arequipa. She is crazy but in the best ways. A very lovely and welcoming host. Extremely knowledgable of her city, and recommended a night time tour of the Monasteria, which was awesome, and a trip to the mummy museum. She accommodated our late arrival and early departure with no fuss, arranging a taxi for our airport journey. Also her coca tea fuelled breakfasts set you up for a day of exploring.

The Casa, is in a really authentic part of town, with lovely little cobble stone streets. There's a roof terrace with views of El Misti, Chachani and Pikchu Pikchu. As well as feeling homely it felt very safe and secure.

A short stroll to the Yanahuara plaza, and viewpoint. To get into the historic part of the city was a nice 15 minute walk along the Rio Chile and over the bridge.

A great location and a lovely host, thoroughly recommended by us.

If you're looking for a quiet and tranquil place to stay with excellent hosts then look no further, La Casa de Ana is awesome! Ana is very helpful, our bus arrived at 2am in the morning and there was no problem checking in at this time which was great. We headed into Colca canyon for 3 nights and left our backpacks with Ana for no extra cost and when we returned unfortunately someone had gotten a bad case of altitude sickness so there were no rooms left, but Ana had booked us a room elsewhere so there weren't problems at all. La Casa de Ana is slightly out of the city but an easy 10 minute walk into town (or a 5sole taxi ride). Would go back and stay at La Casa de Ana and would recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere quiets and easy in Arequipa.

This was one of the best hostels that we have ever stayed in. Ana was very thoughtful and could not do enough to help. I highly recommend it. Helped with organising a 3 day hike in the canyon. While we were there Ana phoned the guide to see if we were ok. Recommended great places to eat and was just a great person to make you feel welcome.

Room Tip: rooms at the back are a bit quieter but the whole area is not noisy

My partner and I stayed here for four nights and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Ana was the best host and helped us in more ways than one. We accidentally overbooked our nights and she didn't charge us or take our deposit, she helped us arrange our own Colca Canyon trip and called to her godson's place at the base of the canyon so they could look after us and she also let us shower and use a room before our long bus journey after we returned back to collect our stuff free of charge. I couldn't have asked for a better host or a better place to stay. If you go here, make sure you give Caramelas (her beautiful cat) a cheeky cuddle.

Reasonable standard accommodation for longer term also with a basic bread roll with eggs breakfast included. Clean throughout with a basic kitchen set up for making your own meals where required. The main problem being the distance from town. I walk quickly and it takes 25 minutes to reach the centre. Ok for shorter visits though this becomes tedious after a time.

Room Tip: Too far from town for a longer stay IMO

My husband and I have just spent four nights here. Ana and her staff have been very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great with lots of fresh bread, eggs, fruit, spreads, juice and hot drinks. We stayed for 2 nights and then did the Colca Canyon tour for 2d/1n, Ana kindly let us keep our stuff in our room while we were away for no extra cost. We then stayed for another 2 nights and Ana let us keep our room for the whole day as we were not getting a bus until late. You can get washing done here, there is a kitchen you can use and free WiFi that is reliable. There is a roof terrace that you can chill on and a very friendly cat. It takes about 15mins to walk to plaza de Armes and it is a very pleasant walk. We would recommend this place to all travellers.
